I thought it was stupid how Kate kept complaining how loud and crazy her kids were. They couldn't feed the baby cows because they were too hyper? Then be a
FUCKING PARENT and tell them to simma down! Tell them they have to be quiet because the baby cows are sleeping! Tell them they have to walk slowly because the
baby cows are sleeping! Tell them they have to calm the fuck down because the baby cows are sleeping! How hard is that? We get it, Kate -- you have multiple
kids. But it ain't rocket science.

And they're five now, not two. School teachers handle 20-30 five year olds in situations like that, it just takes some expectations and consequences.

Payback will be a bitch when she can no longer afford nannies and has to handle her misbehaving kids all by herself. I foresee a lot of alcohol/valium in her
future. ::karma::

Kate was bizzarre about the whole kitten thing. Telling the kids they can no longer hold the kitten. Kate will hold the kitten. Then Kate trashes her kids
to the kitten "aren't you glad that I'm holding you and not those kids who are trying to rip your head off?"

Kate doesn't teach, she controls. Instead of teaching her kids how to deal w/baby animals she takes over. |

I forgot that this monstrosity of a show had its final episode. Last bit of this show I saw Kate was chatting up the camera then because one of her offspring
tried to get her attention for some assistance she commences to rolling her eyes after shooing them away She'd drain the bank accounts then give Jon those
kids full time, if she lost all her nannies and sitters, while she jets off to some non extradition country.
I read somewhere that TLC had an announcement that there will be no Kate + 8 as they are focusing on a Kate show to start in the spring of 2010. Gah, what kind of horror will the Kate loves Kate show be? All I can see if they give Kate her own show is 30 minutes of her interviewing herself, bashing her horrid ex and kids while throwing herself one pity party after another. |

I love the kids, but I notice in the last episode how much of a raucus and rawdy bunch they've become. They now have the unfortunate trait of having a
humongous sense of self-entitlement, and are spoiled brats.
It will be nice to see them grow up. I think Cara will grow out of her tomboy phase and match Mady in beauty. Alexis, once the wild child, always the wild child, will get wilder in some ways, tamer in others. Leah will be somebody's nerdy sweetheart, and Hannah is becoming prettier and prettier each episode. I believe Hannah will become the prettiest Gosselin. Aaden is not going to become a professor. He's going to become a college dropout and a comedian. Colin is going to become a professional of some sort, an engineer perhaps. Joel is going to grow up with a lot of issues, he's going to grow up under the repression of peers and alpha males. But he'll be fine. |

jasbel wrote: Yeah, right...every episode Jon is around his kids he is short with them and you can just see the resentment dripping off of him. He never wanted those extra six, and he has basically said so. I used to feel sorry for the way Kate treated Jon but he is all about himself now, not the kids. In the final episode, when Kate talks, at least she talks about the kids and what she hopes for them, while Jon just sits and talks about him and his bitch and how good their life will be now. And how he treated Cara and Mady in regards to making signs for the lemonade stand...bravo, dickhead dad, bravo. Way to make your kids feel loved. Then he was complaining about having to "manage the stand all by himself while the kids got to have fun with the firefighters". Fucking grow up! You are old, you don't get to play on fire trucks anymore. So sorry, Jasbel, I just don't think Jon is what you think he is. Kate isn't SuperMom either, but at least she is recognizing her faults whereas Jon sees no wrong in his man-whore partying ways and how that will affect his kids someday. |

LaurenTheLush wrote: LOL - me too! Does that make us pathetic? Naw, because the kids are what makes us sad. Watching them grow from little babies into five-year-olds. The commercial is the only thing that made me watch the finale. Otherwise I have not watched a single episode in eight months. But I wanted to see how Jon and Kate would represent themselves after all the shit; Kate won in my opinion. I would really like to see Kate honestly work on her flaws, and I'd like to see Jon drop off the face of the Earth. Or get crabs. |

NavyWife, what planet are you on? Kate has never admitted to any flaws. All she has admitted to is that Jon has prevented her and the kids from going to Korea,
Jon has taken away all the freebies from her and the kids, and that she never bashes Jon in public, yet manages to do so every other moment alone on the couch.
Jon gave the twins some DISCIPLINE. They've been allowed to be whiny little brats and have no consequences for their actions. Jon taught them a lesson, if you cannot behave, you don't get to do something that you wanted to do. Where's the bitching for Kate leaving the twins at home during the farm clips? How do you know she didn't rip their heads off for stepping in front of her and got punished by staying home? Don't kid yourself, rewatch the episode again. Kate only talked about herself and how she no longer gets freebies, finding ways to take shots at Jon every moment. Jon talked about the kids and taught them a great lesson for life, if god forbid they are ever in a life-threatening situation that requires firemen to help. He also taught them a good lesson about giving back to the community. I saw no bitching from Jon, he just made the comment that the firefighters volunteered to watch the kids while he ran the lemonade stand. |

I agree FCNavyWife - it seems like most of the comments here about this last episode were really about terribe Kate was, but I also saw a sullen, angy immature
Jon during his interview sessions (and he also looked TERRIBLE BTW - was he loaded?). His response when Mady made the comment about having more fun with mom
was juvenile and unnecessary, and to then lump Cara in because he got his poor little feelings hurt showed what a baby he is.
And, RobVS, Kate mentioned several times that Mady and Cara were in school during their visit to the farm, so I'm not sure why you think she didn't address their absence (and then go on to falsely speculate that maybe they were home with sitters or whatever). If you're going to bitch about Kate, there is plenty of true stuff to bitch about (and I agree that she was completely wrong in questioning Jon's motives for the fire station visit - whether she thought that or not, it was NOT her place to throw that out there. She needs to let go of trying to control and question everything about what the kids do or don't do when they are with Jon).

If the kids are 5 they'll go to school next year right? Then there won't be a need for this show?? Or will the cameras follow Kate around as she's
hounded by the paps and getting her hair/mani/pedi appts all squeazed into her busy busy day??

I apparently missed Kate saying the twins were in school. But his response to Mady/Care was appropriate. They both were whining and arguing over markers,
bitching that one used more of one color than the other. Mady's comment that she has more fun with Kate was a nasty comment and deserved punishment. She
needs to understand that not everything has to be a freebie trip, sometimes they should use their status on TV to help others, like they were doing with the
lemonade stand.
But I guess there are one too many delusional housewives that buy into the "Kate is innocent" theory and just eat up whatever that c.unt spews out of her mouth. I still don't see where Jon came off looking drunk and terrible. He seemed pretty normal in his time on the couch, but then again, I'm not some bitter and scorned housewife looking for someplace to redirect my anger because my husband left me for a hotter and less bitchy woman. |

If you get to assume I am some bitter housewife I get to picture you as an overweight mysogynist redneck sitting on the couch drinking beer, yelling at the TV
and typing furiously in several forums because you have no wife, girlfriend or any friends at all. OK?

Does anyone else get the feeling that Kate prefers trapzing around with the group of six kids versus hanging out with the two older kids?

I get the feeling Kate would prefer to trapse around with none of her kids.

Now Anders, you missed the point that she HAS to be away from the kids so she can PROVIDE for them. She is sacrificing and suffering flying first class and
staying in 5 star hotels just to charge exhoribant amounts for her picture so the kids can eat organic. But you're right she is enjoying the star life and
treatment w/o her kids. I think the whole kitten incident sums it up. She monopolized the kitten even when the kids were begging her because she loved little
grey kittens. Yes she was concerned for the kitten but she didn't teach the kids how to hold pet the kitten gently. It reminded me of the dogs, where she
chose the names and the puppies and then had nothing but scorn for them.

FCNavyWife wrote: you do realize that TLC controlled the content of the interviews and what was shown on the show? How coincidental that Jon comes off bad while Kate just sits there and does her fake crying. Jon & Kate are both gigantic douches. TLC has put all their eggs in Kate's basket so they have to try and make her seem human. Don't believe the hype. |
