Was that this season?? If they're going to drag it out, at least make sure the material's interesting to keep people wondering...and is anyone really wondering whose going to be in the finals/win when we've known since the second week?

I'm not your bitch, bitch was the best line of season 1, IMO. Gay DAve said it to Tiffany.

Season 1 had so many great quotes. <3
"I'm not your bitch, bitch!" - Dave "You're a snake. Tss!" - Miguel "Shit, where the fuck is my pomegranate?" - Cynthia "Which would you rather eat: sand or shit?" - Stephen "Fine, then go ahead and call me mediocrity! Use your stupid fancy fucking words!" - Candice |

Tiffani contributed to my favorite RTV cliche quote: "I AM NOT HERE TO MAKE FRIENDS!" <3333

This show is always long. I feel like this one went by more quickly bc unlike last season we didn't have to break for Christmas and New Year's. It just
seems longer due to obviousness of it all.

It really wasn't long the first three seasons. Season two FELT kinda long because of the whole drama... but it was concise...er? They upped the number of
contestants as the seasons progressed (most shows do... they start with ten when they are fledgeling shows, then get more budget and a better contract and up
the ante); and the extra weight shows.

But they've had double eliminations in the past.. oh yeah.. they actually had one this season too.. it's just that it was a quickfire elim and a
regular elim in the same episode... nvm.

great personality wrote:This is almost always the way! First seasons don't have as much of the self-consciousness & contrivance of following seasons. The contestants don't know what to expect, and the producers don't know if the show will work. In second plus seasons, I always feel like the contestants are somewhat modeling themselves on season one, and the producers THINK they now know the formula for the show. Don't they realize that part of the thrill of reality tv is its unpredictability? |

Stephen was a twat. I guess he was a watchable twat; but he was the pre-Marcel Marcel.

The best thing about the Stephen/Candace fight was the SHE was right.. and that he later admitted it and apologized. Out of all the cheftestants who said they
gained a new perspective on themselves after watching thier season, I think Stephen and Tiffany are the only ones who actually have.

Tiffany actually astonished me. I LIKE her, while she was THE villain of season 1 for me. She actually seems to have lightened up.

chuckersil wrote:I ADORED Stephen in all his OCD/Anal Retentive glory. I did not find him at all unlikeable and his obsession with pairing his food with wine intrigued me (I LOVE going to tasting dinners) and he was the contestant in season 1 whose food interested me the most. My Stephen love grew tenfold when, at the reunion, after watching himself throughout the season, he actually recognized how uptight he was and how he rubbed people the wrong way at times and said that he learned from it and was making an effort to change a bit. Adding to that his sincere apology to Candace, made him even better. Stephen <3<3<3 I am not surprised he has been so successful as a restauranteur and I hope he finds time to make another appearance on TC in the future. |
