To be fair, she had screen time on her reward, but I agree with you on "challenge performance". Challenge performance should not be counted as anything that propels a person's edit to a specific category unless it's really unnecessary. Things like insults/praises by Jeff, a monumental focus on a specific person and maybe words that they say should contribute. Things like "Laura's getting the puzzle pieces", "Jaison is swimming fast!", and just shots of a person doing the challenge should not be counted as anything other than filler.

Though I agree with this, Natalie was the main focus of the whole reward challenge, and Mick was just the guy who won at the end. There's a difference for being on the screen most of the challenge and being on a bit more than everyone else by winning immunity.

Like Mick, Natalie didn't talk about being a boot target at all. That is something I'd expect to hear from someone that people are picking for the winner, like I'd expect to hear more from Mick than just 2 sentences.

Sorry, but I'm just starting to see your arguments as trying to craft a valid edgic argument that's pro-Mick, but has no real support except making some little isolation shots and fluff confessionals into something they're not. Your ratings are EXTREMELY biased negatively towards Natalie. No one is going around giving her MORP2 for this episode, most everyone says she's UTRP1, and I agree. However, somehow MICK was MOR2 when, if anything, Jaison should be getting that rating. I don't understand how you can be so biased towards Natalie. A lot of people have valid arguments for Natalie, and seeing that Amber just got an INV in the re-do of All Stars Edgic, I think it's just more plausible that we're looking at a Natalie win. You argued against that so more Natalie supporters would have less arguments towards Natalie's win, even though Amber was definitely INV in that episode, and I thought that before Samoa even aired, so don't call that biased pro-Natalie or anything. And besides that Blake, what exactly is Mick's theme? I remember someone a couple pages back posting how every winner besides Vecepia I believe, had some sort of theme to their story and it contributed to their drive to win and their end game. What would Mick have to say about his game at FTC? That he's a doctor and he got elected leader? That's what we've heard from him, and that's all we know. He has little else. Russ, Natalie and Jaison all have stories that can be used into an argument towards the win. What is Mick's story?

With him on your tribe, some variant on the Amber game is the best response, unless you can muster the numbers to take control. With Russell great at winning the merge and probably lousy at winning jury votes, why not let him run things?

Someone mentioned we should look if Mick being elected leader is included, because the 'vote out a player right away twist' with Sierra wasn't included in the recap episode that season, which should have been a red flag that Sierra wouldn't win. Not being included in the recap at all is also bad. What kind of visibility have other winners gotten in recap episodes?

They need to be looked at. Like you said things we need to look for - Mick's leader vote. If it is either not mentioned or skimmed over, thats Very bad for him. - Jaison getting some positive bits during the wanting to quit period, or afterwards showing some redepmtion bits. - Russell will be shown obviously, but will they focus on his game, or his negativity. If they focus on good gameplay, he'll shoot up in my books. If its antics, thats bad as well. - Natalie needs something from her first few episodes where she was absent. - Will Marisa get her freaking Intro shot?

Posts: 2918 (11/26/09 2:25 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I think Aras could have been a 2 visibility in his recap episode, but I can't think of anyone else that was a 2 or less who won. I think Danni got a 4 visibility, so maybe some of the quieter potential winners like Natalie should get that kind of visibility. I think one of the most interesting scenes they included as new footage in a recap was the scene of Aras becoming Casaya's challenge leader, and Casaya winning most of the challenges after that (after previously losing the first few). It probably wasn't shown because it would have somewhat ruined the crazy Casaya edit if they were shown doing something like that. If a scene like that pops up that just makes you go "this is so good for this person's edit, why wasn't it shown before" then take note of it. Villains like Russell tend to get a more P recap edit then they were all season (for example Shane got scenes of stuff like the tribe celebrating his son's birthday with him), not sure how that'll effect his chances though, the content he gets will matter more then the tone probably. In seasons where one tribe was heavily ignored, and the other tribe wasn't (like this one) which tribe has gotten more new scenes in the past recaps?

His focus was lacking, and paled in comparison to Austin, Sally, Danielle, and Cirie. Terry was also neglected. Though I could see a vis 2. I don't think Guatemala had a recap?
