I'm not sure what you mean by "mean-spirited" but I'll take as a season where everybody (or most of them) left pissed off. So that means
Thailand, All-Stars, Vanuatu, Fiji and somewhat Guatemala.
But I have to say Thailand takes the cake because even the final 2 seemed like they were inches from walking away saying "Fuck this! I'm out..." Nobody left in a good mood. |

WylDawg wrote:Mean-spirited - where all the people were kinda mean, they don't have "heroes or good humble people like JT" and the season was just full of hates and fights and evil people like Russell and Shambo I wouldn't call All-Stars a mean-spirited but it is close because of The final four don't hate each other Rob/Amber's engage thing Jury was bitter Jerri walked out from the reunion All-Stars gained huge ratings Sue vs Richard |

I think Gabon was the most mean-spirited, but All-Stars and Thailand are also up there. Guatemala was easily the most jealous o_O

Notice how many fall seasons make people's lists.
S5, S7, S9, S11, S17, S19. We could add S3. It's like they try to alternate between Nasty and Nice casts. Nasty casts are older and more blue-colour, with people willing to play the villian. S13 broke the nasty fall streak, because they intentionally cast nice people for the race twist, then balanced it out in S14 (Dreamz, Rocky, Lisi). Micronesia and Amazon are uniquely enjoyable because of their rare combo of nice casts with hardcore strategic gameplay.

The onion ins Gabon were evil <3
But the good guys won so that makes it almost like Heroes vs Villains. <3 All Stars - how could anyone forget? That is why they are teh stars. Mean spirited? Thailand, pretty much why Jeff hated it the most. Australia, besides Roger, was there someone who didn't hate another contestant? Marquesas, some people are like.... oooh nicest cast ever. They were having fights like in every episode. Amazon, the women were true bitches Fiji because of Rocky, Lisi and Dreamz I would include Gabon because of Corrrrrrrrine Vanuatu Micronesia (girls = evil) |

SleepTight wrote:I don't think the girls in Micronesia were evil, they were just strategic and passionate at getting rid of the boys and if they were true evil, 1 girl will outstand as the villian of the show. For me Parvati wasn't a villian, she was just sometimes too annoying because she was so in control of the game. |

craig wrote: Amazon had the least likable cast in Survivor history up until Fiji. Just because it's been topped does not make its vile cast "nice". Amazon, Thailand, All Stars, Fiji, and Gabon are the five I'd call the most mean-spirited, but I don't think negativity is a bad thing. I really enjoyed Gabon, and Amazon and Thailand are my two favorite seasons. I liked them so much because of their real emotions. |

Amazon and Exile Island are the only ones that I can think of.

^^ I was wondering why no one had mentioned Exile. even allies were nasty to each other. alot of animosity there.

They were still entertaining people. Shane and Bobby are probably the only nasty ones.
And there were a lot of good guys, too. Nick, Austin, Sally, Bruce, Dan, Ruth-Marie, Tina. |

Corinne always speaks the truth <3
Anyways, I would have to say that All-Stars takes the cake. But I still love it <3 Vanuatu also had a pretty mean jury. Another season I like <3 |

Samoa has been pretty evil so far, with Jasmise preaching to Foa Foa and then her fighting with Ben. Ben kicking Russell and arguing with Jaison. Shambo's
irrational hate for Laura cause Shambo can't forget High School. Plus Russell in general.

Not only did Amazon have one of the more unlikable casts, they also had one of the stupidest strategic casts ever.Jenna and Matt - supernice F2 and a non-bitter ury Deena, Rob C were hardcore stategic gamers (especially compared to S1-S5), and there were lots of blindsides. Rob C made everything an occasion for humour. Joanna and Jeanne were mean-spirited but they left early. Christy had a huge chip on her shoulder and sense of victimhood, but she didn't control the outcome or vote bitter. Amazon,. along with Cooks and Gabon, will always be one of the most controversial seasons. |

craig wrote:Of course the jury wasn't bitter. The hardcore player responsible for most of their exits left third, leaving a F2 with someone who won a bunch of immunities, but otherwise wasn't a great player, and a guy who was arguably the most clueless strategic and social player the game had ever seen. But bitter juries don't really have anything to do with it. Jenna was detestable, as was much of the cast. Deena, Alex, Roger, Heidi, Joanna, Jeanne, Daniel, Ryan and many others were very unlikable. The cast was one of the stupidest ever. Matt and Butch had no strategic sense whatsoever. Remember the chain? Christy was a total non-player who fluked her way to a great position in sixth place then threw it all away. Alex made one of the stupidest statements ever to Rob, getting himself immediately booted. Deena turned on her alliance too early and got booted right away for it. Dave thought with his dick instead of his head and passed on the chance to break up Jenna & Heidi for good, booting a woman who could have been on his side instead. He, Butch and Roger at the merge all moronically voted for the one woman there who they could have had on their side instead of making the smart decision and voting for Heidi or Jenna. Again, thinking with their dicks instead of their heads. The winner won not because she played a terrific strategic or social game, but because she was sitting next to one of the most clueless F2 members ever. What does it all come down to with me? Unlikable cast. Poor strategists/game players. Entertaining season for sure, but |
