PinotEnvy wrote:The crying jag and the inspirational speech were OTT and shameful for sure, but to say he cannot adapt to other styleS is incorrect -- he wasn't very good in the waltz, but you won't find many male dancers who can really pull off that dance. Even dancers who are able to get through latin dances stumble with the waltz. For purposes of illustration, Russell's waltz was pretty crap as well. Legacy acquit himself well in contemp, broadway, and the Paso. So to equate him to a Cedric or even a Phillip is incorrect.
After the performances, Legacy is now right back on my hate list. First of all, his weaknesses were shown again. He cannot adapt well to other styles. And then he pulls out the t.ears and hope crap.![]()
Somebody posted about Russell not stepping up and not showing much personality. Personally, I disagree with that. I find Russell is stepping up in other styles and he is an amazing performer. He lights up the stage. One of the things I love the most about him is that he is the ANTI-fucking TwitchRussell's waltz wasn't good, his samba sucked, and I can't even remember what else he did because he's so unmemorable. Just because he doesn't exhibit any personality doesn't mean he's a wonderful antidote for Twitch -- it just means he's boring.I can't stand it when people are constantly mugging for the camera and "trying too hard" to shove a supposed "personality" and "gimmick" down our throats. I love Russell for his quiet confidence, command of the stage and ability to own his characters in the dances and then act like a humble, nice young man while being critiqued.
