It was a means to protect Stephenie, but I guess it was OK. Guatemala is underrated imo. |

Part of me dislikes tribal swaps as they can be really unfair, but they do usually make things more interesting -- especially after the merge. I personally loved the Marquesas swap, even if it did screw over Sarah.

Africa was the best. It truly shocked them. It was the first ever Survivor twist. Since then the only real surprising twist was Marquesas cause when they were
filming that season, Africa was airing so they didn't know about the twist. The All Stars one was great cause of how it turned out. Cook Islands was always
be remembered as well and Ozzy foreshadowing their betrayal will come back to pay them. Micronesia was dumb because it was Fans VS Favorites. I don't think
there should have been a switch. Hopefully Heroes vs Villains doesn't do it. Two questions about switches. I forgot the Guatemala one. What happened? Also
anyone think Palau was going to have a switch than the producers backed out when they saw how awful Ulong was?

each tribe chose who truly represented there tribe........they members chosen (cindy and brian) stayed in their tribes, the others swapped, except for brooke
who stayed with cindy. The four that went on the picnic (judd/margaret and gary/amy) stayed with their original tribes, so 8 swapped tribes (bobby jon, danii,
blake, brandon, stephenie, rafe, jamie and lydia) and 7 satyed in their original (judd, margaret, brooke, brian, gary, amy and cindy) tribes

My personal favorite was the Marquesas swap.
I just like how it was set up like a challenge or something and they just were completely and randomly swapped. |

ASS and China were awful swaps.

ilovekelly752 wrote:The one in ASS sucked because everyone stayed the same except Amber. Which basically led to the horrific fuckery of Lex voting out his own ally Jerri and saving Amber for Rob over an inferred promise, and then Rob "backstabbing" Lex, and then Lex spending the next 2 weeks stewing in his own shit over it while ignoring his own idiocy and all the meanwhile occupying space on my television screen with unwanted obnoxiousness. Without Amber switching tribes, maybe we actually get a post-merge counter alliance that is decent enough to at least give Rob some competition and maybe we actually get a half way respectable winner for what should have been the best season ever based on the design. Chinas swap sucked because it basically allowed tribes to pick the two strongest members of the other tribe to come join their tribe, which then resulted in Jamie and Peih-Gee throwing a challenge in order to vote out Aaron. Smart strategy by the girls, but how in the hell is Aaron supposed to defend himself against that? Granted, that wouldnt have happened if James wasnt such a dumbass in the first place, but still....Aaron is probably the most screwed over person in Survivor history aside from Jonathan and Wanda. Also, keep in mind that if switch didnt occur (or occurred differently) Aaron potentially stays in the game quite a bit longer--at least till the merge--and perhaps takes on a big enough role within his Fei Long alliance to garner some attention and keep Amanda out of any sort of discussion for either Micronesia or ASS2 I suppose they were both good tribal swaps if you enjoy absolute shitstorms where useless players get kept around longer than they should be and capable players who might actually exhibit a shred of independence and strategy within the game at some point get hosed. I suppose I shouldnt blame the tribal switches for how the rest of the season played out after them as much as I should blame a couple of particularly terrible players with no foresight.

Africa was the best, hands down, for surprise factor. But mixed feelings. There was no suspense re what was going to happen at Samburu and I was glad it
happened because it made things much more interesting with that tribe. On the other hand it allowed the weaker BoringBoran's to take over the game and the
endgame became very boring as a result.

Africa- it screwed Silas
Marquesas- I like how process was done, buffs below the woods they were steppin in Amazon- interesting, but a disappointing its not Girls vs Boys anymore All-Stars- sucks! it killed Jerri Vanuatu- interesting! more Julie scenes Guatemala - i thought it was too early Fiji- i like the tension on who will get the better camp China- the switch is getting old! Micronesia- i wished it was still fans vs faves Gabon- I don't care, the 2nd one was shit! cmon switch at 10 is just ridiculous like in ASS Panama/Cook Islands don't have a "switch" twist like in S3 for me, because it was a redraft twist and CI's another Switch-like twist was the Mutiny |

What do you mean by best?
For audience and contestant response, Africa takes the cake. If you want the biggest impact on the game, ASS wins. I won't talk about positive impact, but it had a lasting effect on the game. |

I dunno, but Aaron screwed himself over after the switch. All he had to do in order to survive that TC was pretend that he would work with the rest of Zhan Hu
at the merge, and he kept completely refusing to do so. He kinda made it obvious that he wasn't even going to entertain the idea of ever working with them
and was closer to the main core of Fei Long than James was, so yeah...it's Aaron's own fault in a lot of ways. It's just like how Marcus completely
screwed himself over and caused Susie to vote him out. Tired of people acting like Marcus was screwed by the second Gabon swap. The fact is that his gameplay
and arrogance screwed him over, and that's about it.

The second Gabon switch WAS designed to screw Marcus over. He was so arrogant he threw the sacred Hidden Immunity Idol in the ocean. Then boasted to the
camera how smart and awesome he was and everyone else was an idiot cuz they let him talk them into it. They inserted that switch, put sticky glue on
matty's hand for the challenge and prayed Susie would vote against Marcus.
Marcus and Aaron refused to promise something they didn't think they would uphold. If they make the promise and do not honor it they are seen as lying, backstabbing assholes. If they don't make the promise they are vilified for arrogance. If they are fortunate to NOT be placed in this type of Lose-Lose scenario twatwaffles complain they are UTR and bland. WTF?!? |

Seriously, I lol every time someone says they threw in that swap last minute to get Marcus voted out. If Marcus/Aaron lied, got kept in, and then voted out
Fang/Zhan Hu at merge, then okay, they lied, but they're still in the game and they kept to keep playing. Most people would appreciate and understand being
outplayed.
