This probably suggests that Russell isn't as smart as he thinks and that his allies aren't as stupid as he thinks. The fact that they remember to breathe suggests that they aren't as stupid as he likes to say they are in confessionals.

I liked the fact that they didn't focus on pre-merge events and paid NO attention to those booted pre-merge. What struck me as very interesting is how the main females were portrayed in this recap. In conjunction with the thread I created on why females can't seem to win anymore, some things became VERY clear to me. The 4 main females featured tonight exemplified exactly the reasons why the statement has been true. Laura: came across as a cold, heartless bitch. Sure, she was a leader, but seemed to have absolutely no feeling or empathy for anyone-blaming Shambo for bad social skills while she herself was playing the worst possible social game of all. Monica: a deer caught in the headlights (a lawyer nonetheless) who came across like a teenager, scurrying after the fact and following around Laura like a little baby deer follows her mother, not making a decision for herself Shambo: sure, she's a thinker, but she's emotionally all over the place-she's got the right mindset but says the wrong things at the wrong times and is way too over-the-top to be trusted or taken seriously. She lets her emotions show way too much. Natalie: she could have major game but came right out in confessional saying that she was happy to be following the most powerful person in the game because it will take her far. Of course, she's in an alliance with someone who feels that women should be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen 24/7. In a nutshell, the women tonight were either (a) overly emotional/scattered, (b) bitchy and cold, or (c) mindless and submissive. The men were either (a) hotheaded and overbearing, (b) entitled, or (c) just plain arrogant.

Jaison was okay as well. Personal story. Natalie's was subpar. She did get her moment at the beginning, and end. Russell's was bad. He came off very OTTN again.

Why include that when it didn't happen and can't happen anymore...unless the women gang up with their jury votes. They could vote for Dr MickDreamy but they could all go for the woman that gained their trust. Marisa got her introduction shot! Weird recap for both Natalie and Mick. Mick received tons of negativity for his leadership abilities and his explanation fell short. On the other hand, he gave us his first end game connection...or was the doubt created better for Russell? Natalie's last second scene was good for her but it wasn't much...again. Jaison's goal is to beat John. Besides the 2 usual suspects, Erik was the star. What happened after "Prison Break" chicken style? Funny scenes with Dave who is now set up for an exit (Shambo's dream) I enjoyed his night scene with Russell. He looked dumb when he told Shambo he was carrying her. Brett got a second wind. Interesting that it was him that hesitated voting out Erik while John had first appeared the one hating the idea. Nothing for John and Monica. Shambo looked very nasty to Laura. The star of the season got second, third and even fourth helpings. Can Russell get the jury votes? That's the only question left.

Russell was the only one who said anything bad... and it was, well, Russell. He got good reviews in the first episode, and has been spared of any negativity in the real episodes. I can't complain! I don't think his explanation fell short. He even took off his necklace in his confessional. Russell said Mick wasn't being a leader... well, Mick doesn't WANT to be a leader!

Did you see the faces of Betsy, Natalie and Ashley as Mick fumbled with his directions? That was definitely negative as it underlined Jeff's comment and you heard Mick being as eloquent as Cassandra: "Hummm", "Haaa".... He had 1 bad scene on good one. That's it.

Back after the merge episode, you complained because people switched to Russell and claimed that "it wasn't fair and everyone has to stick to their pick before the merge" as if it was some set-in-stone rule that everybody had to follow. If Russell wins (which he shouldn't, based on editing patterns), you will not get any individual credit. Nobody will be praising your name, constructing a concrete statue of you, or take you very seriously in future seasons. I, for one, haven't forgotten your blunders in seasons 14, 15, 17, and 18. My point? This is Edgic. For many--especially me--it's a hobby. I love making inferences based on patterns, charts, numerical values and plots/storyline outside of the internet. Edgic encompasses many things that I love in my everyday life into one superinterest. It isn't about "fame, glory, or recognition" (I mean really, it's one thread in a forum on the internet). I value the workings of this thread (which can lead to much frustration on my part when people support out-of-boundary picks). I do not value superficial reasons for partaking in this thread (e.g. reading spoilers and then using that as a basis for contenters lists in order to get "praise"). I can't expect others to share the same passion for the thread as I do; but I will call out people who are only partaking to feel better about themselves. If you feel insecure in your abilities to predict who wins a reality show, then I highly suggest you see a therapist! xoxo You're a fucking douche. Ideas are not original and in this thread with so many inside-the-box, non-adaptive thinkers, an original idea is something good to hold onto, especially if my posting is so devalued because of my 4 "blunders" in the past. And I do not read spoilers but thank you for implying that I do, you're almost as classless as me and I've said many rude things to you in this post alone so if you're down on my level, you know you're just being a dick. Great to see you posting again :) You're right, I haven't. I'm rather dismayed from the editing that has gotten so atrocious, the increasingly pathetic casting, and the whole "Hollywoodification" of Survivor. That and the fact that, in my heart of hearts, I'm beyond being convinced that CBS has tilted this season so far in the favor of Russell (3 friggin' idols and his suggestion that they might merge at 12) that it's a desperate measure in recreating Richard Hatch. If Russell wins, I think this season was forced. I'm sorry if others disagree, but it's my opinion. If Russell doesn't win, they've hid the winner (except maybe Jaison) purposely which cheapens the whole integrity of the show. You would think I'm Hitler and I just slaughtered a bunch of innocents with a reply like that. I don't blame you for trying to gain credibility, but I do blame you for getting snippy because people are making the same points you are and you aren't getting the "credit you deserve" for them. That is where a line, in my opinion, is being crossed. I pointed it out and that's that. I, for one, always read your ratings/posts and do not think you're stupid because of your past mistakes, if that means anything. I just think it's a little idealistic to expect so much credit--especially before a winner has been crowned!

Once again, actually READ what I post. e.g. is used for examples. If it was i.e., then it would likely be directed at you. It's impossible to have a spoiler on who wins because the votes are read live. You picked Liz and eliminated everyone else for the first few episodes, so I know you don't read them. 2) I was kidding, I don't think you actually need therapy (well, maybe, but I don't know you well enough to make that call). 3) This is a public forum: unless it's copywrited, anyone else can state the same idea whether they're taking it from you or thought it on their own. You can't expect everyone to read every post. Maybe you should have said "Hey, great minds think alike!" rather than "That's my idea, give me the credit people!" 4) I think it's a shame that you think Edgic is that biased. Mick will get the ratings he deserves for the most part, much like every other player.
