So Who will sell more DEBUT records? Kris Allen or Adam Lambert?

He's like a superstar at Jive. Maybe Adam will get dropped first. They're much quicker to drop Idols than Jive. If Lambert's album starts to tank badly by week 3 or 4, anything is possible.

What you newbies don't understand is that they are both signed to the American Idol label, 19 Recordings. One is distributed by Jive and the other by RCA but their labels are the same. Simon Fuller decides who gets dropped, not Jive or RCA.

For example, Ruben was dropped by his label but is still managed by 19. They did get him another label and continue to support him. But the whole 19R/19M thing is very confusing, I agree.

Ruben was dropped by 19 Recordings/J Records and is now on Hickory Records with Elliott Yamin. His management is with Croshal Entertainment Group.

Kelly, Carrie and Jordin seem to stay consistant with the hits<3 David Cook and Kris Allen are doing ok as far as singles go I love Fantasia, prolly the only one lol Ruben and Taylor are the worst

I like them both but David's album went platinum by the beginning of February after being released mid-November and sold a whole 279,000 in the first week as opposed to the paltry 80k Kris started off with. His tour is also doing amazingly well, I highly doubt Kris will be doing a solo tour as successful as Cook's anytime soon. One would hope he will at least get a nice headlining tour but who knows if they'll shaft him. Kris as much as he may deserve it and as good as I think his album is won't even be following in David's footsteps, he's unfortunately more likely to be sitting in the Taylor Hicks category of oblivion sooner rather than later. If he's lucky (and I can't believe I'm going to say this) he'll find a comfortable spot in a niche market and sustain some level of success like Fantasia who although not a main stream star has arguably had success in the R&B genre. Luckily for Kris he doesn't suck like Mantasia so hopefully he'll have an even easier time at being successful than her.

The AMA performance, the ridiculous album cover, the controversial interview comments. All of this has kept his name in the headlines. It seems to be working for him. Based on the media coverage you would think Adam was the winner of American Idol.
