I think it is a grip extension for the rope knots for the IC. It somehow gives a one knot up advantage...

My guess is that there's a piece of paper with the advantage written on it, like what Corinne won in Gabon's auction.
And are there any guesses on why Russell and Natalie are arguing? I need to rewatch the promo to find out what was said exactly, but do you think Russell would get mad at Natalie for bidding on a shower? Or maybe it's a future episode and she does something else... |

The wax on the advantage is probably like all other bottle twists and advantages before this one. Danni got a sealed envelope in Guatemala, Raro got a sealed
bottle with wax over it in Cook Islands, it's to ensure that the advantage remains in the bottle.

Looks like it isn't, Archibald, but good thinking. Diff. colored beads and diff. shell.
btw, I'm in the camp that there's a clue inside . The winner has to break or melt the wax & pull the loop to access the clue.
