I really wish TCU could get a shot at the National Championship.

If the Huskers pull-off the upset next weekend, I think that they WILL get that shot.

(Temple) also lost to an FCS team at the start of the season, a nice bookend for them.

That same I-AA (I refuse to use the b/s B(c)$ coined terminology) team, Villanova, went 10-1, beating last year's I-AA National Champion along the way, and is ranked 2nd in the Playoff which started today and is going on as I type. They're absolutely a 'quality' team.

No worries, NM. The answer's basically that teams were still flexing b/t playing 11 and 12 regular season games, then; the 12 game regular season only seemed to become 'permanent' in the past few years.

There was a VERY good TD catch just now in the Egg Bowl - if you watch the highlight reels of today's games, you'll surely see it!!


And lastly... poor New Mexico!! They're playing TCU today... I just saw this on the scoreboard, during one of their drives:
"3rd and 50, ball on NM 15"

They subsequently punted the ball on that 3rd down.
