Adam's CD is doing pretty damned well. Poor Kris did not go very far. Anyway. Glee. What Adam Lambert songs should they have on it?

I try to stay away from the fantardness, but I admit I get caught up every once in a while. Though, because I like Adam, it's fun to see people who hate him freak out (especially some, who shall remain nameless, but I know you know who I'm talking about, cindi). |

I wonder if The Others (Santana, Brittany, the two guys) will ever sing solo.

great personality wrote:Can you please direct this question to a non-Adam Lambert thread? Thank you. I doubt we'll hear from them in the next few weeks since they were filmed before the show took off. Seeing how popular they are (especially Brittanygoddess), I wouldn't be surprised to see at least Brittany and Santana get some solos. Let's wait for Shaft to get a line of dialogue before we talk about him getting a solo. |

This one's for YOU, Blueberry!
For a few brief moments after the 2009 American Music Awards aired on ABC, it certainly did look as if Adam Lambert was in for a very rough ride, especially as his debut album, "For Your Entertainment," was about to be released the next day. The backlash for the performance he put on did not fail to appear but, as Reuters informs, not only did it not harm album sales, but might have actually boosted them. They don't say that bad publicity is better than no publicity at all for nothing. Although Lambert's album is, critically speaking, a piece that stands its ground without too much outside help, the fact that he generated a genuine media storm with his AMAs performance only brought more attention to it. Consequently, shortly after the fallout began, fans rushed to download the album, pushing it high up on digital charts. "[Lambert] is now taking his first steps as a solo artist in the music business that is enduring a decade-long tailspin. US album sales so far this year are down about 13 percent from the same period in 2008. But one day after its release on Monday, Lambert's 'For Your Entertainment' from Sony Music, soared to No.4 on Apple's iTunes album charts overtaking the soundtrack to the 'Twilight' movie sequel 'New Moon'," Reuters informs. As we were also telling you the other day, estimates for future sales are very good, with some critics saying that "FYE" might even get to more around 500,000 items in its first week. Whether that truly turns out to be the case or not, both critically and commercially, Lambert's album, despite the fact that it was completed in just a few months, is one of this year's strongest contenders. The others materials in the competition include Lady Gaga's "The Fame Monster," Rihanna's "Rated R" and Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream." This last one definitely has the most potential to become this year's biggest seller, with some estimates saying that it will move up to 700,000 copies in its first week alone, an amazing feat for an album from a woman who, a few months ago, no one had heard of. |
