Lexxan I can answer that, Jeff has the votes organized so he can read them any way he wants. Russell played the idol so he just read the Russell votes first. But if he did not he would have read them differently. He has the votes split in two inside the urn :)

I don't think that's accurate. Jeff does organize the votes before he reads them, so as to increase the drama of the vote count and eliminate unnecessary votes. Because of the nature of the urn he has to pull out one vote at a time. However, bc of the way it's shot (cutting back and forth from Jeff to reaction shots), they can rearrange the order of any of the votes he reads. For example, in the Brendan boot, I was one of the votes that was read somewhere in the middle. But bc the drama of the episode made it look like I was making up my mind btwn Brendan and Coach, they showed my vote last.

Also - I just asked Sandy who she voted for. She said, "Sydney, cause I didn't really think you'd last that long."

ETA: I mean it's a TV show. The reaction shots are not always in direct response to what they're shown as reacting to.

I could have sworn that Jeff can read the votes any way he wants in case the idol comes into play. I mean they knew Russell was gonna so they were reading those Russell votes like that no matter what.
