I need some new songs for my workout mix. I prefer hip hop, electronica, or world music but love anything with a good driving beat that's catchy. I
listen to this mix when I run or on the elliptical.

For my workouts, I have to keep it completely pumped or I start losing steam. I'm no fitness master, but I like to run several times a week. Around the
fifth jogged mile, if I don't have something really jamming in my ears, I will putter out almost immediately. I've found that Cyndi Lauper's 2008
dance album is a really good workout friend, minus the first track. It's really energetic and bombastic. I can't tell you how many times "Into the
Nightlife" has saved me from giving up.

Too bad. A really good rhythm for running and circuit training, etc. is the entire paul simon graceland album.

Yeah, world music is just another way to otherize non-Western cultures. It just lumps them all into one category as though they are in some way similar.
