So basically...you've gotten SO desperate for your pre-Mick-tion to be right that you've resorted to comparing his edit to VECEPIA. Is that what
I'm hearing?

I'm not understanding why I'm not allowed to give people a hard time for supporting edits that start with "UTR1 INV UTR2" or "OTTNN5
CPN5 CPN5" but when I support an edit who fits the most guidelines, I'm scrutinized. Doesn't that make a whole lot of you hypocrites, since
you're so pained when I disagree with others, yet you're allowed to be just as horrible when you disagree with me. I can take it, 'cause I can take
what I dish out, but it's been at least 3 seasons now of complaining of how I treat people when they support inviable edgic candidates, and now those same
people are doing the exact same thing! Eek!
I'm not desperate at all for my Mick pick. I'm just countering those who are saying Mick should be eliminated for his edit because it's "unprecedented". Please find me a winner who fits anything like Russell or Natalie, and we'll dance. Mick is more classic than anyone remaining and his content is decent. We'll see what happens on Finale night. I know I'll be smiling :) |

JaimeCat22 wrote:That's what some say, but I disagree, I think edgic should keep looking at the new information that we get each episode and see if we need to reevaluate who we think wins based on the last episode, even if it's right before the finale. I mean scientists don't just work a year to prove something works, then refuse to change their mind a year later when lots of evidence appears that says their original assumption was wrong. I don't see the point of even doing edgic after the merge if we really believe that we should lock into our premerge pick, no matter how horrible their merge edit gets, no matter how many INV's they get in the merge, etc. BlakeB717 wrote:Blake... that's EXACTLY what the editors want you to think, they have 3 whole days of footage to compress into just 40 minutes on TV, they didn't have to tell the story this way. They could have manipulated it to look like Jaison or Russell got Gelu to vote for Erik, but they didn't, they choose to show Natalie doing it. The editors CAN and HAVE manipulated scenes in the past to show things that didn't really happen, lets take the pecking order challenge in S11 as an example. At that challenge Lydia took out Steph for going on the last few rewards, and said so in front of the group. The editors had a chance after the challenge to redeem Steph for that however, when Cindy won the RC Stephenie was her original pick to go on the reward with her, she even launched into a speech about how it was her dream to go on a reward with Stephenie (this is what Gary was referring to at TC later that episode when he said some people were too starstruck by Steph). Stephenie however turned Cindy's offer to go on the reward with her because of Lydia's complaints during the challenge, so Cindy took her second choice, Rafe. On TV however all we saw was Steph look pissed when Lydia took her out of the challenge, and Cindy picking Rafe right away for the reward. The same thing can happen with strategy scenes, and it does all the time. And that's why the fact that the editors have chosen to give all the credit to Russell and Natalie (like you just admitted) is alarming for Mick's chances. How can the casual viewer be satisfied if Mick wins the jury vote in a F3 of Russell/Natalie/Mick when Mick hasn't been shown doing anything useful? |

It seems pretty clear to me that Natalie was the only reason FoaFoa broke through Galu. Insider information may not be considered Edgic, but I've always found it to be useful in figuring out the "logic" of Edgic and how it's manipulated into what we're actually shown. Any tool is a tool (as long as it doesn't give us blatant answers, like spoilers) with a little detective work and analysis. |

Yes... but the editors didn't even have to show to it was Natalie that got them to flip it to Erik on the show. They could have just randomly had Gelu
decide it's Erik, and taken footage of Mick talking to any other Gelu member about Erik and manipulated it into Mick suggesting "Why don't we vote
off Erik, he's a shady guy" and the Gelu saying "yeah you're right, I don't trust Erik" and then that Gelu shown running off and
convincing Gelu to vote off Erik. And yet they didn't, they chose to credit Natalie instead.

BlakeB717 wrote: Oh, so now Insider information is Edgic? Well based on Edgic, Erik said in his post show interviews that Natalie is playing the best game, Kelly said that she wasn't sure if she voted for the right person, but after watching the show realized that she did (most likely Natalie), Laura, one of Natalie's biggest allies in the game, said that she thinks Russell crossed a line in his game play, you can bet if he goes to the end with Natalie like every clue in this season has indicated, that'll be another vote for Natalie, AND John said in an Insider clip from the last episode that even though Natalie seems naive, he thinks she's a sneaky strategic player, which is why she was the target and not Jaison (or Mick if he didn't have immunity). So by Edgic standpoint, I've just surmised that Natalie will be getting a minimum of 4 votes if she goes to the end with Russell. Considering her bestie Monica is probably soon to join the jury, that might give her the 5 she needs. We'll wait for more Edgic evidence to call that one, though. |

Blake, you're starting to really annoy me again (and obviously many others). Your own patterns are acceptable to use, but when I post past patterns of
winners, you shoot them all down and say it's "not Edgic", conveniently the ones that point to a Russell/Natalie win instead of Mick, but when
you post your own pro-Mick patterns, it's totally fine and if we disagree with you, then we're not following Edgic?! You can't have it both ways,
although you're doing a great job trying. The bottom line is this -- every male winner so far has either had a consistent edit throughout the entire
season, or one that was quiet early but picked up heavily after the merge. Even Bob had no UTR's after the merge. Mick already has 3. If a male wins, they
don't edit that male like a female. I know you won't agree with this pattern though, since you'll say it's "not Edgic", aka "not
pro-Mick". Russell is clearly the winner here and your inside-the-box thinking is going to convince all the other inside-the-box thinkers to pick a wrong
majority pick yet again. I thought the writing on the wall of Russell being the biggest villain ever, biggest strategist ever and willing to do whatever it
takes 100% to win was obvious enough to see that he's the winner (and he does have plenty of doubt), but boring ass MOR (skewing P doesn't count,
he's had 1 P episode and that's it), no-storyline, no-FTC ties besides Russell (in the recap) young male doctor Mick is still garnering up all of this
attention. It's like you guys forgot that Marcus, Amanda, Stephen DIDN'T actually win.

BlakeB717 wrote:It's because you have bitched about people picking Natalie. You have bitched about people picking Russell. You have acted to multiple people like they're stupid because they don't think Mick is the winner. And yet you act like Mick fits all these guidelines amazingly just because they're the guidelines that were written down rather than looking at overall editting patterns. You've become SO defensive about your pick that you bring up Bob/Danni's edits to validate your continued picking of Mick. Hell, you bitched out astroline too, who already gets enough shit for thinking outside the box, but you know what? Majority picked Peih-Gee/Amanda for China and were wrong. Majority picked Marcus/Kenny/Matty for Gabon and were wrong. Majority picked Stephen for Tocantins, and were wrong. Thinking outside the box might be just what edgic needs to actually get a pick RIGHT again. Hell, look at Parvati. She had a good episode one, but her pre-merge edit SUCKED. You know what kept people picking her? The fact that she had an early comment related to THEME that was picked up and people carried that to the merge, where Parvati's edit picked up like it's supposed to. NO winner has ever gotten four (let's be honest here, SIX) MORs in a row. No winner has EVER had two UTRs in the merge and first post-merge episodes. Hell, even pre-merge, when people were saying they didn't see Mick winning, you said that the merge would be important. Lo and behold, Mick gets UTR1, and suddenly you're on the defensive saying that it was a great UTR for him. You've given him Ps for two of his weakest episodes when he did next to NOTHING. And it seems extremely clear that every argument you make is not based on finding the winner based on Edgic, but finding Edgic based on Mick being the winner. And it's annoying to see you get into fight after fight defending Mick and trashing Natalie supporters and trashing Russell supporters EVERY. FUCKING. CHANCE. YOU GET. You're JUST as bad as they are, and the difference is that the only ones who take themselves as seriously as you do are trolls like Rioot-whatever. So if you want to support Mick, FINE. I've never eliminated him from my list, just like I don't think I've ever eliminated Jaison, and I've never eliminated Monica, and I've recently stopped eliminating Russell and Natalie. But stop forcing it down our throats as the ONLY right way. Stop bringing up past winners to say that Mick is like them. Mick is NOT like Ethan. Mick is NOT like Bob or Danni. Mick is NOT like Vecepia. Mick's edit is unique. Natalie's edit is unique. Russell's edit is unique. Jaison's edit is unique. Whoever wins this season, it will be an edit we've NEVER seen before, so even try to act like you're picking Mick based on Edgic. You're as stubborn as anyone else, and your arrogance has pissed me off so much these past few weeks that I just cannot tolerate it anymore. Get off your high horse and look at OTHER players' edits for a change. Don't write EVERYONE off just because you're so sure Mick will win. If he does? Great, congrats for you. But you know what? More people think Mick DOESN'T win than those that do, and MANY of those Mick voters are people who follow the "pick a winner pre-merge and stick to it" mantra. So stop being so fucking self-righteous and for ONE season, can you PLEASE just keep your opinions to yourself? Christ. |

I'd say Richard Hatch but one should scratch their head when Russell said he would never provide food for his tribe and would never share. Richard, no
matter the intention, provided, albeit arrogant about it.
Well, it's very possible that Mick has a very strong rest of the season and from the preview, it looks like he will. It also looks like Natalie will be accused of crossing Russell. Perhaps the halftime show was to start the ball rolling so we can see more of the interplay on Foa Foa Four. I'm starting to think the editors could care not one bit how many confessionals they give anyone. |

Also, from looking at SFC's chart, and remember what Kitty said once before about a string of toneless MOR's... Mick had 4 toneless MOR's in a row,
before his 3 post-merge UTR's in a row. Both of those are unprecedented for a winner. The most toneless MOR's that a winner has ever had was 2 (Ethan,
J.T., Todd all had 2 MOR's in a row). Mick has double that amount, followed by 3 UTR's after the merge, also double that for a male winner. Mick has
not been P since Episode 1, or CP since Episode 3. That's a neglected edit. Natalie, for all of her faults, at least has 2 CP's and 3 P's. Russell
has plenty of tone and plenty of CP's obviously. They also both have storylines, strategic connections, relationships with other members of the tribe, and
FTC/jury ties. Mick has none of that. Natalie Bolton's edit after the first 10 episodes had more depth than Mick's.

Yeah, it has been interesting that the number of confessionals each season has gone down at the same rate. Although this season may break the trend with
Russells confessionals

Per "many" people's wishes, I will cease to post in this thread besides my episode ratings for the remainder of the season. If I shouldn't
post anything in support of Mick because it's deemed ignorant and inside the box, then I don't think there is much else left for me to talk about
(which is posting in support of my pick). I would hate to be the reason that people post less in Edgic/creates more "fighting". We'll
see if I am the catalyst. Crossing my fingers for Mick! Sorry to have caused so much distress for the outside-the-box thinkers. My PM box is always open. Edgic
this season just doesn't seem to be the way it used to be.
Remember to get involved in the S8 Edgic Revision thread! |

Blake, you're so full of it and it's great to see people besides myself actually calling you out. If multiple people here continually have a problem
with you around here, it's you, not us. If you weren't so busy shoving Mick down our throats, being condescending to anyone who doesn't pick who
you pick and picking & choosing what "is Edgic" and is "not Edgic", then maybe we wouldn't have a problem with you. You deserve
everything you've been getting. Good riddance.
