Helen looked better than she did at the finale, at which she was scrawny and gross...haggard even. Ugh.

Mike was hardly anorexic at the finale. Even at 185, he was still not within his ideal weight range.
Of the contestants in the finals that look haggard, it's because they convert to very unhealthy ways to lose weight. They deprive their bodies of so many nutrients, which give them that sick look.

In those Season 3 flashbacks with Bob and Eric, Bob looked amazing. In the few years since then, he's gotten too skinny, which makes that concave temple /
vein thing stand out more. Also, he needs to shave the beard, grow his hair longer, and dye his eyebrows.
All the winners from Season 1, 2, and 3 have put back on nearly all the weight: 1. Ryan (Jillian). He's bitterly complained about the show experience to the press. Bob randomly criticized him during a lecture to Vicki last season. 2. Matt (Jillian). 3. Eric (Bob). I LOVE the fact that he chose OPRAH as the venue to first publicly talk about his regain. I'm surprised that the show didn't get upset with him for that. On the WATN, I'd have liked to see the following questions answered: 1. How is Michelle (second pink winner) and her mom (her teammate Renee) getting along? It seemed like Michelle didn't really want to mend her relationship with Renee and that she was just using her because she needed a partner that would create a drama-filled storyline. 2. One of my favorite players was Bob's soldier girl Kae from season 4. Have we ever seen an update on her? Other people who were mysteriously missing: Kristen...who constantly talked about her dream of becoming a motivational speaker Vicki's husband Brady Heba and her husband Ed Helen's daughter, who assaulted a tenant and then became a roller derby girl. When Jillian walked in to surprise everyone at Pete and Helen's pre-marathon dinner, Amy C looked NOT happy. |

That is why we need something that will show us how the contestant is doing now, like ANTM with Top Model In Action.
Sadly, the producers won't do it cause like everyone has gain it back? |

Here's an article I found on Digital spy where the finalist "feels like a winner." It's not spoilery at all but there is one comment that can
be left up to interpretation. So I'll tag it.

Mike was hardly anorexic at the finale. Even at 185, he was still not within his ideal weight range.I felt like he was slacking in the weeks leading up to the finale because he felt he had it in the bag (and he should have) against Tara and Helen because he had so much more weight left to lose than they did. I still saw a bit of a double chin at that finale.
You can see he still had some man boobage, a spare tire, and his legs look quite thick. He looks good but still a bit chunky. He could have lost more and still been healthy. |

Maybe it is not realistic for them, but the way Helen looks there is how I would expect all the winners to look by now. I would think they would want to keep
going until they achieved the ideal fit and trim look. Ali did it, but the men can't seem to get there.

The makeover episode is the last one to be added to hulu. That's the one that's on most of the sites.

Mike and Tara still barely lost. Mike lost by 5 pounds and Tara lost by 6 pounds. Hele
I saw preview while watching NBC and they revealed Liz's weight loss for next week. |

I can't believe I still sometimes watch this show. I started because I used to like watching the transformation...watching the ugly duckling sort of
scenario where the contestant is a huge fat loser and by the end they are in great shape. But...what a joke it is now. They have people so big and ugly they
can't be thin or attractive by the final. They are at the final and a couple of the contestants are still like 100 pounds overweight. Is 50-100 pounds
overweight the new thin? Blah...this is the last season I watch this mess of a show.

Is 50-100 pounds overweight the new thin? No, it's the new "average" or "s/he's at a healthy weight". Try lugging around a 50lb weight all day and tell me that's healthy. I personally find it to be a disgusting and dangerous attitude. They should take body fat percentages at the end again like they did in the first season. They should also do another long season or start filming sooner so they can lose more before the finale if they are going to insist on having such heavy fatties. |

It's progress for someone who was 300 or 400 pounds to only have 50 more pounds to lose by finale. I'm sure the people who lost the weight feel amazing
about the weight loss and most of them state that they are still working towards their goal.

Winners in the US version of the biggest loser always look unhealthy to me, they look drawn and emaciated. I watched the British version - which is a joke- but
the winner looked healthy and fit.

Former Angel Gabriel wrote:I agree...and believe me I understand that they are much better off then they were....but it seems like the message coming across is..."as long as you are not morbidly obese you are okay". The show is edited in a way to make it look like, by the end of the season, the contestants have finished their journeys...but two of the men on this show are only just under 300 pounds this week and the woman still has big elephant legs. And another thing that pisses me off is they are now letting the contestants wear their shirts (instead of shirtless and sports-bra) towards the end of the show when they weigh in to try and trick the viewer into making these people appear thinner than they are. Anyways...I can't take the crying and drama every week if there isn't the payoff of seeing these people actually be thin at the final episode. |
