I honestly think that's the reason they went with a final 3 for Australia so the audience wasn't overly bummed at Elisabeth being voted off. It's kind of a bummer to start out a finale with the favorite being voted off first. They'd want the audience to have time to cope with that blow I'd think, lol. Although, the favorite in the finale is more incentive for fans to watch in hopes of her winning, I don't know.

Posts: 12111 (11/30/09 9:28 AM) Registered User More Recent Posts	The finale in Australia was pre-planned as a final 3. They wanted to milk the success with two extra episodes (recap as well). That's why it was 42 days, Liz's boot episode was three days long and had a reward challenge.

Posts: 16575 (11/30/09 10:46 AM) Registered User More Recent Posts	Yes, Myppody has it backwards. With the 42 days schedule, they had 4 hours of airtime to fill with just the F5-F2. So they had to blow up Elisabeth into this amazing sweetheart to have a storyline and make people care. With S2's schedule, we'd be looking at 6 more hours of Brett (if he's 4th) and he'd be a much bigger character. But instead there is only 3 more episodes with Brett plus the beginning of the Finale.
