India would be a great place for back to back season, because there are so many different environments there. It's not called a sub-continent for nothing.
Plenty of on land options, and if they wanted to do another island season, they'd just have to travel to the small, and sparsely inhabited island nation of
Maldives, right off the southern coast.

To be honest, I would love for the show to go to India! But I don't see that happening. There are a lot of activists there who would protest people walking
around scantly. But then again, there didn't seem to be a problem in China. But I don't know. Times have changed, but if the show would film in a
foresty type place, they will most probably be disturbed by villagers etc. I am assuming that the show will be in a beach location again next season because
they will shooting back to back.

Places they can go to that are remote, have the right temperature and are close enough to main areas
Purnululu National Park - Vallee de Mai Nature Park - Sangay National Park - Ecuador Gurung Mulu National Park - Cambodia Fiordland National Park - New Zealand (If shot in Oct-Nov, will have temperatures around 17-22 degrees celcius) |

Spratley Islands - Survivor will NEVER dare film in a disputed scattering of islands. Besides, the Spratleys have hardly enough land mass to film an entire season anyway. Corregidor - A top tourist island smack in the middle of commercial maritime and air trade routes? Nope. Babuyan Islands - See above. Outskirts of Mindanao - The "outskirts of Mindanao" are where Muslim insurgents thrive the most. So no luck there. |

Anyone have an idea which "tropical island in Japan" Mark Burnett was referring to in that June 2009 interview? I have a sneaking suspicion it might
be the main Ryukyu Island: Okinawa -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okinawa_Island -- it seems to have
the most rugged, diverse terrain and the most colorful culture and dramatic history. If they want to shoot seasons back-to-back, then they have Vietnam and New
Guinea in the same neck of the woods, the other two locations mentioned by Burnett in said interview.
I just wonder whether they'd dare call the season Survivor: Okinawa (in the manner that the obscure Tocantins name was used) or whether they'll resort to using Survivor: Japan. |

Iriomote FTW. That's really the only location in Japan that I think would work. Google it, it's beautiful and remote. Okinawa is way too developed. |

This is a link to a Burnett interview and if it was already discussed...sorry. Burnett has been talking about
PPNG forever and his first response to the question of where he wants to go was that. It would be a very difficult place to survive. Probably the most difficult ever. I really dont care where they go anymore so much as they include the culture as heavily as they did in China/Thailand/Amazon
My main hope is that they go back to 16 people and for the first 2-3 ep's have combined reward/immunity challenges so we have more time to meet the people and see the land. So little time is spent on people commenting on how amazing it is to go from being a mailman last week to watching an elephant stampede this week (you get what I mean) I just wish they have more focus on the land they are inhabiting...if we see Survivor continue for many many years (and them having to stay in one local for back to back filming) I would be content with a fall season focusing on the people and culture with 16 people and then a spring season focusing on some kind of twist. |

I'd like to see a Greek Isles theme in an upcoming season. Additionally, I really would like to see another season in Africa. Gabon was such a cool
location.. which really contributed to making that one of my favorite seasons. Maybe they could go to Madagascar or Kenya?
