Allyson Hannigan was channeling Dark Willow on HIMYM tonight. Her eyes turned red and she made people explode! (One of which was a neighbor, Mr. Osiris!)

Just finished reading all the current Buffy comics up until "Living Doll", in volume 5. Will be waiting for the next ones now. I'd rather get the
ones in a set than separated though. I've loved every bit of it. It's definitely got the show's wit and creativity in it. It's pretty awesome.

I think Season 6/7 had some nice episodes here and there. Season 7 as a whole was a little lackluster but like Conversations with Dead People and Selfless, and
the last few episodes were pretty awesome. Season 6 also had choice episodes like the always awesome musical ep Once More With Feeling, one of my personal
favorites Tabula Rasa, and the last 4 episodes of S6 have always been at the top of my faves list mainly due to Willow.

Season 7 had such large plot holes that you could drive a fucking semi through it which makes it unwatchable to me. The writers also took Buffy and turned her
into a HUGE bitch, totally out of character and I am now not surprised why Sarah Michelle Gellar refused to continue.
Season 6, the Spike/Buffy thing was disgusting and the thought shouldn't have even been conceived, let alone being filmed for broadcast! From the past 5 seasons, it is evident that Buffy would have never done that with Spike but lo and behold, she did. I even think Sarah Michelle Gellar said she was pissed with where they were taking her character. Dawn was unwatchable, the magic is crack storyline was STUPID and was one of the other things that shouldn't have been conceived, let alone be filmed. Xander completely ditching out on the wedding DAY was retarded and once again out of character. I tend to disregard these seasons and just wish they never happened. |

I agree Season 7 was by far the worst season, I have it on DVD and it took me several months to watch it all. I also hated the Buffy/Spike romance, I just felt
that she could do so much better and I also hated how bitchey she started to become. Also I hated the moments when Xander got all hardass and people listened
to him because that wasnt his character.
In season 7 also didnt like how they felt the need for Willow to hook up with Kennedy. I mean I know they wanted to continue the oh so controversial story of lesbians but it was just overdone, Tara was a good thing and they kind of messed it up, she should have went back to a man. Also Anya's hair in Season 6=amazing. And then.....ew dark hair no good, short hair no good, it made her look like an actual old demon. |

I actually didn't mind the Buffy/Spike relationship. With all the ridiculous story lines of season 6, (magic is crack, Riley coming back, Xander ditching
Anya) it definitely kept things interesting. But the STUPID attempted rape thing was SO out of character and all for shock value and shit. But I somewhat
understand the point of it was so Spike could be redeemed by getting a soul, but still, that was a stupid, awful way to go about it.

I think it would have been better if Willow had been without another girlfriend. It would have meant so much more to the death of Tara. On another note, the whole evil Willow thing was probably one of the most memorable and awesome moments on television EVER.

I actually had an internal debate the other day about whether it was vampire Willow or evil/Dark Willow that said the "bored now" line...because I
use it all the time and want to properly give credit where credit is due.

Both. Mostly as vampire willow, but she said it once as Dark Willow-- right before she ripped Warren's skin off.

Vampire Willow...she was so much better than Dark Willow.

Read the comic BTVS Season 8 to see the "bored now" scene from Warren's point of view - yep, he's still alive!

Even though Dark Willow was cool and memorable, Giles coming back to fighter her was even moreso in my mind. I remember being like, "Fuck yeah!" when
he was standing in the doorway after blasting her with the magicks.

"Tabula Rasa" and "Once More With Feeling" are enough of a reason to watch Season 6 imo.

Dark Willow owns. People are too hard on season 6 imo. Everything up to Tabula Rasa is ~amazing~ and the final 5 episodes are maybe my favorite season endgame
of the whole series. The middle section is pretty bad in comparison, but it's not horrible or anything. I love "Older and Far Away"
The absolute worst thing in the entire series is Xander/Giles/Willow/Dawn all turning against Buffy in like 3 minutes because Faith said so in season 7. Good lord was that forced awful drama. |

ElisabethNelehHeidiRok wrote: Agreed on Kennedy hatred. What a boring bitch she was. Also agreed that Willow should've hooked up with a dude or no one at all. I absolutely hate how Willow was only referred to as gay after Tara. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Willow and Tara's relationship, but I will never understand why she couldn't simply have been labeled as bisexual. It was always "I'm gay now" "now that I'm gay" etc. Um, way to take a giant massive shit on Willow and Oz's three-year relationship. She clearly both loved him and was into his peen, so the constant use of "gay" about Willow irked me something fierce. |
