This cast list is marginally acceptable, but I really feel like they dropped the ball over the whole "purpose" of this season. Isn't S20 supposed
to be a celebration of 10 years of Survivor being on the air? So then why aren't there any people from season 1 on? Like, honestly, they
couldn't have bribed Gervase or someone? Hell, even Jenna would have been acceptable. Goodness knows she brings the crazy.
Other thoughts: Amanda Kimmel- even though she's a 3rd timer and overall she's pretty bland, I've grown to appreciate her shenanigans and hopefully she'll manage to epically fail at FTC yet again .
Benjamin "Coach" Wade- understandable; compared to Russell, Coach is so much more fun <3 Cirie Fields- understandable but unnecessary; by now they should have let other Crazy Casaya tribemates have a shot, like Shane or Courtney. Candice Woodcock- meh Colby Donaldson- a Survivor legend; even though I don't love him, I can see why he's there Courtney Yates- should've been on her first All Stars season; a good casting choice Danielle DiLorenzo- obviously she is going to make it far b/c it's always the people that aren't supposed to be there in the first place that always manage to make it to the end. Jessica "Sugar" Kiper- she brings the lulz but she's also really ridiculous and she screwed up Gabon. Crystal would have been better. Jerri Manthey- one of the few actual legends on the show Parvati Shallow- does she really need to be on again? Randy Bailey- see Parv Rob Mariano- Survivor legend; understandable James Clement- absolute waste of a spot; he has done absolutely nothing for 2 seasons now; the only reason he's here is to compete w/ Rupert for the 100g at the reunion James "JT" Thomas- meh Rupert Boneham- see Colby Russell Hantz- oh good lord...understandable but he'll be just as unbearable the second time around. It doesn't bode well that there's no one from his season on to counteract his bs, but hopefully one of the girls (Sandra perhaps) will be able to cut him down and/or reduce his airtime. Hopefully he gets the "Yau Man" treatment. Tom Westman- the best representative for Palau besides Steph that they're gonna find... Tyson Apostol- I've grown to like Tyson over time; although he's not a superstar, I could see why he would be picked for an All Stars season. But compared to some of the other people in the cast he's kinda weak and I don't think he represents the true spirit of what this season was supposed to be. Sandra Diaz-Twine- see Courtney (<3333) Stephenie LaGrossa- understandable ^The only thing that pisses me off is that only 10 out of 18 (All Stars not included) seasons are represented. Honestly wtf. After the first All Stars season made such a big deal about having every season represented (and BB7 too- goodness knows we could have been spared of Chicken George), the fact that the producers don't give a crap anymore makes this season such a big disservice to all the fans that have actually stuck around for so long. But whatever, I guess I can't judge until it actually starts or until we have actual confirmation... |

I agree. It's suppose to be the 20th anniversary for Survivor, it would have been nice if they cast at least one person from each season. At least the
first All Stars season did that.

Overall though, not bad. A couple here and there I'd replace but I'm actually impressed with the lineup and so many former winners. I thought it would
be all bottom feeders.

They could have branched out in casting but there's enough to please me and not enough to piss me off. They get the benefit of having a good cast...now
they have to do the opposite of All-Stars 1 and make a good story.

I loved ASS. I really did. It was great seeing all those people punk themselves out with classic overthinking. I loved the bitter meltdowns. Pretty much
everything but the winner, which is the downside of the Bitter Jury.

I thought it was disappointing start to finish. Like inverse darwinism: survival of the weakest and least deserving to be on the show. It was great to see all
the people, but most of the people I came to see left by merge and after that it was just a pagonging. Could have been gold, but it was awful.

Well things could be a lot worse... but then again, things could also be a lot better.
We can whine about Danielle and James being on the show forever, but we can't change the fact that they are. Whatever's done is done. My main concern is that the show will be dashing (the best season since FvF!!!). Having the seen the Spoilers (which I won't reveal here, unlike some of the more... moronic members here), I think S20 will be wonderfull. Can't wait till spring. |

I wouldn't have invited practically the entire Micronesia alliance back (could be even worse when you consider Ozzy/Jonathan/Natalie were alternates), but meh, for at least James, Parvati, and Cirie I can see why they did it. And Amanda for the T&A factor. edit: on that last point, this is probably the most attractive cast the show has ever had. |

I almost always love seeing returning players no matter what, there's just something ~epic~ about it. ASS1 is severely underrated on these forums tbh. |

Putting people on for their THIRD SHOT is unforgivable. Parv, Amanda and James need to go away already. This will be their third appearance in the span of two
years. Fucking attention whores. If you're going to put someone on a third time, put on Cesternino. At least he's entertaining.
Also a shame that some seasons aren't even being represented. And sorry, Tyson and Sugar are not all-stars. Give me a break. People that should have been considered over these five: Clay Jordan Royry Freeman Helen Glover John Carroll ANYBODY FROM PALUA TIGA. Gervase? Buis? Rob C's season had just recently aired and at that point, he was pretty much the biggest target out there besides Hatch in terms of ultra-strategic
players. With 12 seasons passing between Amazon and ASS2, he'd likely have a much better shot this time. Either way, he would be more entertaining to watch
than Ms. Crabs and Amanbore.
