youfist as a history major/sixties expert you will probably like the Baader Meinhof Complex. I saw it Saturday, and it really brought that period to life.

I just watched The Wrestler.
You MUST watch it if you have not already seen it. It was terrific. |

Remains of the Day was awesome.
The Wrestler is great, too, if you can get past the idea that you are watching Mickey Rourke play dog the bounty hunter. |

An Education is a pretty good movie I saw the other day.
"Patton" if you haven't seen it already. "Insomnia", the original Norwegian version is great. Oh, and "Inland Empire" |

"RotD" was fantastic... but I wanted to kick his ass into gear. Goddamnit, KISS Emma, already! He wasted his
whole damn life.
"Shadowlands" was out at the same time - liking Hopkins as you've noted, if you've not yet seen it - do. He was especially on fire that year. A friend of mine and I are slowly going through the AFI "Top 100 Films" list, picking flicks within it here-and-there to view. The three best surprises for me thus far from it are "Sunset Boulevard", "All About Eve", and "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" - all dramas which I'd highly recommend. |
