Remove this ad I just watched all 4 epis from this site: http://www.casttv.com/shows/friday-night-lights Goddamn this show is SOOO good it makes my head hurt. Hilites of this epi: - 'Steers' - clearly a tongue in check reference to 'Only steers and queers. Boy, I don't see any horns' - Tammy saying 'I need chocolate!!!' - I really like the racial tension. It's real. And I like the fact that they aren't shying away from the 3rd rail topic black folks having an issue with white people as opposed to the typical 'suburban dad is a closet nazi' thing we always see. The Landry/Jess thing is gonna heat up. - I loved coach saying 'his name is Vince' to the cop. - Vince looks exactly like Quentin Richardson - journeyman baller now on Miami and husband of Brandy - oh and an alum of my alma mater - DePaul. - I wish the chicks were a little hotter. I REALLY miss me some Lyla and Tyra. - I love JD pulling away in the Escalade when 5.0 showed up. Not like every cop in that crap town won't know who JD is and that the only Escalade in town is his. But, again, the probably look the other way. - The one thing that bothers me - the high school kids at bar thing. Julie is what, 17? The lesbeen chick is what 16? I know it's a small town, but hanging out in bars? Really? Gay coach can say 'Hey Julie, you keep me secret and I won't tell your relatively strict folks that you were at a BAR - a gay bar - as a 17 year old h.s. student daugther of a prinicpal. Tammy is in a world of hurt with her public image and the rumor mill feeding the 'her teenage daughter is hanging out at gay bars' wouldn't help. - I want to hear honest sports talk callers - in the real world, they would say 'Tammy Taylor ruined Panther football, but jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick, she's hot. There would be inscessant talk of her prominently displayed rack and her MILFitude.

It's rough when you have issues with a member of your immediate family, and that person dies. There's just all kinds of mixed feelings. Regret, resentment, loss. It's just an enormous clusterfuck, and I thought Saracen played it very well. Coach was so sweet comforting Julie. He knew exactly what she was thinking. He's a great dad. Even if he isn't real. And I loved the scene at the football field. Riggins: "Why'd you kill Cobra's beer?" And of course the best scene of the night...Matt opening the door to JD and his douchey father. "Are you serious?" ::slams door in their faces.

Loved Tammy telling the funeral director to start over and give them a fair price... also loved Julie saying to Matt that her Mother is good in crisis situations. Love that Lyla is back... her & Riggins... hot!! Did Coach call Landry "Lance" again... right before he asked him to say a prayer? This is what makes the show so great... they retain the true characteristics of each person... only thing we needed was for Matt to call Tammy.. Mrs. Coach :) Thought the writers gave Matt some great material in his eulogy.... and the ending scene with him shoveling the dirt into the ground..... needed another box of tissues!!

I really enjoy the way Riggins has matured over the course of the show. Gracie Bell is the oddest looking little kid.

Saracen ought to get an Emmy nod for this ep -- excellently done, and this is the type of stuff they love. Lila's back and she doesn't get a line? Loved how she wore those boots to sex up a funeral outfit. I don't know if I could've opened that casket. I know for certain I couldn't have gotten the cute Texas pageant daughter off of me. Loved Julie about Tami: "she's good in crisis. She's built for crisis." Not to get all Laura sunning with Shambo, but I wonder if the survivors benefits from the Armywill enable Saracen more flexibiliyt in his studies. Terrific football sequence with the Lions deciding they wanted to test out the Wildcat. And then coach's reaction and adjustment.
