Dave was definitely a 4 this episode.
Jaison may be a 4, but if not he's a high 3. |

Okay Shambo is getting a totally mixed edit within every episode individually. They show her with very emotional sad moments taht we are supposed to feel
empathy for her. Then they show her acting a fool and being ridiculous which we're supposed to laugh at her for. So it's a very confusing edit, but
overall, I think if you think taht they want Shambo to be seen as N, you are an idiot.

Shambo was edited as an idiot this week. End of discussion. That's not positive mixed in, that the decision by the editors to show her as completely
unstable. Backed up with spv.

Im more in favor of OTTS5 with the S for stupid over N but that rating doesnt exist. The epitome of stupid falls under N so she gets N. The sympathy you feel for her is yet again because she is mentally bankrupt and you feel sorry that she is that stupid. Edited to add: Oh no I am agreeing with Judd. Just goes to show that I would be an over righteous right wing CPN/OTTN myself |

My friend has been a Shambo supporter since the get-go. After this episode, she's learned that Shambo deserves no sympathy. She's completely unstable
and needs to be tended to due to her own neediness of acceptance from others. She is allowed to be in bad moods and basically cuss people out. She has this
weird sense of superiority now that she thinks she has control with Foa Foa, but even they have shunned her (against the warnings of Jaison who knows how
emotional and unstable she is), but this time we're supposed to support FF's shunnig of Shambo since her hatred of Dave this episode was
unwarrented...unless you believe in her dreams.
Yeah, basically I think the editing intent was straightup OTTN. Laura is GONE, which means Shambo's edit of sympathy is over and done with. They're now going to explicitly explain to the viewer why she loses in a landslide at the end. Sure, she may get a few mixed signals in there before then, but this episode explains why she is not going to win this game. Other ratings that set my sensers off: OTTP for Jaison. Self-sacrifice. That simple and it paid off, because it prevented Dave from winning immunity, the intended target. However, does his explanation on why keeping Shambo satisfied point towards CPP? Some may think so, but don't let Jaison's eloquent speech fool you into a CP moment. I think the editing intent was more focused on his immuntiy win and sacrifice for Foa Foa more than any complex strategy or character building for him. Russel CP. No tone intended from what I saw. It's sort of sickening since it makes me sick to look at him. My friends are starting to agree that he deserves to win the game even though they still don't like him. That's key to a winner regardless of tone or how they feel emotionally towards them. At this point, my friends (who are my "casual viewer opinion") think all of Galu are stupid and worthless and are pulling for Natalie. Laura - OTTP for her bitchface and not even looking at the players when she walked into TC. ^_^ That's all from me! |

I frankly don't think a lot of you are looking at the episode objectively. Not as a suckster, but as a casual viewer. I get it, you think she's rupert
and you're pissed that production favors her and america favors her and you want to be teenage punks going through a rebellion of conformity, but try to
take that out of it and look at the episode objectively.
ETA: I was referring more towards Rupert in that statement. She's not Rupert, she's clearly getting some negative spin (Rupert did as well actually) but she's certainly not totally negative. |

Bad, crazy edit for Shambo....like a more OTT Jan.
Winner picks, Mick....runner up Jaison. How can Russell or Natalie be winner picks in Edgic? Too OTT (negative) and INV/UTR. Don't chase Blake away, he was fine as long as he stuck to Edgic. He is one of the best posters here besides FLF, OTH, Warrior, etc. There are many other "pop ins" that say much worse that are welcome here, it doesn't make sense. |

Brett - INV (<3)
Monica - UTR1 Mick - MOR3 Russell - CP4 (No tone... was he supposed to look like an ass that backstabbed John tonight? I don't think so). Jaison - CPP3 Natalie - UTRP1 Shambo - OTTN5 (I might give the chicken scene a P, but the fight about how to cook them, the insane dream sequence, the eating guts, the idioticness at TC, and the power-tripping all outweighed anything that might have been P for her tonight. Totally N, not even M). John - CPN5 Dave - MOR3 (maybe 4, maybe N) |

I always rewatch, but first impression was that this was a pox on both houses. Dave was a jerk walking up to Shambo, but she didn't come off much better.
Did I miss something, or was the chicken cooking unresolved? I expected a big scene of it tasting good or bad, and instead it just stopped. Right?
You can't change how people speak (see Dreamz) but even forgiving that, her "dream" speech came off...weird. I don't know. At the end I didn't know what to think. By episode's end the point was that Foa split with her and repeated Galu's error, except that Jaison and Mick both got the concern about it that no Galu ever got. Michael |

Shambo = 1/2 Christy, 1/2 Lill
We're supposed to feel bad for them to an extent, but then the editing reveals that they are going out of their way to try and be victims. They become swing votes and bounce back and forth strategically and emotionally and eventually the remaining players in the game will become frustrated with them and vote them out regardless of if it makes strategic sense to do so. I think we've seen the beginning of the end for Shambo in this game.....I can see her going in the next two episodes. They've built her up as too erratic and negative to be able to turn the editing around and explain to us how she manages to make it to the end. If she was to be this seasons goat, I'd expect her to get an edit closer to what we saw with Jan. She has enough of an impact on the season to warrant a big edit but I dont see how after the next episode she is going to be needed, so they're building up everyones frustration with her now to set up the boot. |

I am full of quick random thoughts tonight. Among other things.
- Without looking at a chart, Shambo felt like the largest visibility character tonight, more than Russell, John or anyone. - Not Edgic, but who else expected Russell to bid on the idol clue to throw them off? It made sense later when he blabbed about it. - It's not simply that John ate all the pie - it's that Russell gave him SPV on it reflecting negatively on it and the viewer is supposed to agree with Russell. How could John not sense that was a bad idea? - Dave is such an extreme edit, from hilariously funny to absolutely brutal. That's an untended edit, used only to probe other characters. - SOS party sent out for Brett. I don't remember him speaking once. Could that be possible? Regardless, that's an INV edit with 9 players left. - Okay, gr, when you watch this one, I'll be interested in your take on it. - I fully expect the Foas and Shambo to be the F5, so it's perfect that we start to show doubt they all make it. Harkens to season 1's "Death of An Alliance" that never happened. Even though Kelly wanted to leave, in the end...even though Mick and Jaison question Russell and Natalie, in the end... Well, I'm out for tonight. This will be fun to rewatch. Michael |
