I was hoping Allison would do better- her CD is really good. Still that's not bad. She and the other Idols will jump higher in the rankings after all the Christmas music starts falling.

I can't believe Susan Boyle had such a small drop. I thought for sure she'd drop to about 100 or 200K. Good for her.

Speaking of sales drops, let's talk about Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment for a minute. Its weekly sales plummeted 74 percent, from nearly 200,000 its debut week to just shy of 51,000 in its second. If you're an Adam Lambert partisan, you can try to spin it all you want, but that's just bad. Did the Black Friday shopping rush factor? Maybe, but SoundScan's overall Top 200 sales were off only 14 percent for the week -- Adam's were down 74. For Your Entertainment had the biggest percentage drop of any album in the Top 200 (only one other album was off 70 percent). From a pure numbers standpoint, it came up more than 147,000 units short of its first week, a bigger shortfall than any other album on the chart save Boyle's -- which still outsold Adam by a margin of more than 10-to-1. His digital sales were also down last week.

It's funny that Kris's single is outshining Adam's, while Adam's album is outselling Kris's. you'd figure it'd be the other way around... oh well, I suspect that Kris will stabilize at higher numbers than Adam in the near future...

This reminds me of season 5 with Taylor and Elliott. Taylor actually sond a lot of records the first week due to fraus buying it, after a couple of weeks and frau ran out of money it and him faded away, like Adam will be doing. Elliott song "Wait For You" took a little while to catch on but every week it continued to get more and more airplay. It was released in June and topped radio airplay through the whole summer. kris single will continue to gain and sell well. Might help his album, might not.

I think all the promo for Adam, along with the AMA controversy, may have caused a spike in numbers.

To a lot of people Adam was the winner of last season, so I'm not surprised he's outselling Kris. Whether that lasts, who knows. I think the problem for Adam is the same one a lot of Idol people face, choices for singles. I still hear Cook fans talking about how the label picked all the wrong songs for his singles. People have also said that about Kelly Clarkson.
