I live in the heart of texmex - I'm not eating that. and Texans do covet New Mexico's chilis (and it is chili season in Hatch) as much as their snow skiing, but our texmex is still better. |

To each their own.
I've eaten Tex Mex, Arizona's version of Mexican, So Californian Mexican and New Mexican version recipes and they are all different depending on the ingredients used. They are all good. I've just found that NM has recipes that I've never had before living here that I really enjoy and prefer. Wherever you live and whatever you are used to is going to be "the best". |

Albuquerque had the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life but damn I can't remember the name of the restaurant. I also had a great meal at La
Choza in Sante Fe this summer. Both times they had baskets of warm sopapillas and a bottle of honey with the meal which is so much more delicious than a
basket of chips.

Had a nice meal at the Old Town Mexican Cafe in San Diego last week. I'm no "expert" but the food was tasty and fresh.

we dont W A N T mexican restaurants in manhattan Someone better not look into any Manhattan kitchens. All that is in there are mexicans. I want me some Mi Tierra breakfast with barbacoa.
I don't think you should tell them they're cooking Texmex. Mexicans carry knives. |

barbacoa is awsome. my mexican friend told me that true mexican barbacoa is actually the roasted head of a cow. they roast it and peel the meat off. not sure
if thats true or not tho.

It's true, but first they hang it from a tree and blindfold the kids.

I don't think I ever ate at Mi Tierra. I have eaten at Alamo Cafe, and their food is shitty. I was a fan of Panchito's and Picante Grill.
Also, Tex-Mex is the superior form of all Mexican food in America Also, 100
