Unlike Jaison, he blew all his dough for a blindside. Damn shame for him, because he didn't appear to be in any danger before that mammoth slip.

I'm also amused that John thought that he could deliver 3 Mick votes and his final words show he still believes he is smarter than all of them. Their vote was NOT in their best interest but they couldn't know the Foans would leave Shambo out of the loop - hell even they told her Erik was going - so it gave them a chance to exact their revenge.

However what baffles me is his insistence of telling Russell that next they'll have to vote out a Foa Foa. WTF John? If you are going to flip, flip. Don't think you are going to pull a RobC and play back and forth. After Russell goes to Dave and tells him he's safe, he's got to assume that at best it's only for one more week. If Dave scrambles (and talks to his "alliance"), they might figure out that Foa Foa is playing them against one another. With Shambo never knowing anything (I tried to hope to believe that she had some semblance of.... something) and her hating Dave, everyone has got to know which way her vote is going. The Galu 4 have got to either band together and vote for a Foa Foa, let Shambo vote for Dave, and hope that Foa Foa are in fact going after John. 4-4-1 tie. On the re-vote, who does Shambo side against? We know she and John have some kind of friendship and perhaps she'd be pissed enough at the Foa Foas for keeping her out of the loop to vote against them. On the other hand, when scrambling, they could go to Shambo and tell her what was going on (John would be the obvious choice to do this). Shambo gets pissed that she's out of the loop and sides with Galu to get rid of Mick. One way or the other, John (and the rest of Galu) are strategic numbfucks. However Jaison is right, Shambo is going to be pissed and therefore Foa Foa and numbfucks as well. Long and short of it for me is why John? He's a perfect goat. Dump Dave who will probably continue to do well in challenges. By dumping the goat Foa Foa has opened themselves up to the possibility of a 4-4 tie next week.

Russell is convinced he can sweet talk her and she'll stay with the Foans and her anger and hatred drive her life...but will the anger and hatred turn on Russell/Foans? The way she snaps at Dave and her post-bawl confessional about Laura...she's out there when she gets pissed. As said above, if John is so smart he should have known she wasn't someone to really trust or count on.

Remove this ad I take back any positive things I ever said about John. The way he was strutting around on last night's episode and his arrogance afterwards make him one of the worst players ever. The irony is that he was totally safe until he decided to confront Russell about the HII. And Russell was a dumbass for not keeping his mouth shut and then turning around and deciding to go after John (and alienate Shambo) to cover up his mistake. Now I think I want Jaison to win. He's finally starting to play the game.

I work in an industry filled with socially inept smart people so it doesn't shock me that John could be smart enough to have some strategic thoughts but clueless enough to really not know which way the wind is blowing or that he's the one who blew the wind in that direction. Has anybody ever had as convincingly bad a 4 episode run in the middle of the season as this guy? It's like he hung around just long enough for us to all see how poor of a grasp he had on the game. Really though... Dave and John right before TC - "Hey Shamu, Foa Foa is gonna screw you and when this goes to a tie, vote with us because they screwed you!" WTF is so hard about that? Just be glad we let you stick around for another 3 days." I seem to recall Eric saying the same thing to Foa Foa. Jaison of all people rose up and laid the smack down on those bitches. If pussy ass Jaison can scramble around to save himself instead of just accepting his beatdown, why can't Danger Dave and Galu do the same? Epic fail.

Even now, after he watched the episodes and reading his interviews he still sees himself as a strategic mastermind who was on the wrong team.
