I'm glad Big Country rolled to the finals, and especially happy he bloodied up James to do it. I wanted Marcus to make it too, though. I bet if he'd
been on Rashad's team and actually learned something that he'd be in the finals.

I loved it when McSweeney was getting all cocky and sticking his chin out and Roy clocked him and then ground and pounded him into the mat. I'm no fan of
Roy's but he was stupid to get so cocky in the middle of the fight after getting a few jabs to connect. I hate the Marcus lost, but at least Schaub has
proven he can get off of the mat with a big dude on top. Maybe he can get out from under Roy's big belly, something no one else has been able to do yet.
Edit, I said Schoonover but I meant Schaub. Turns out it was Roy's right he need to be concerned with not his belly.

I had it Houston 2 rounds to 1. I gave Kimbo round 2. Either way, it wasn't the high explosive fight I expected.
I'm impressed with Meathead's KO of Big Baby. I didn't think he was that good of a fighter, but he showed great poise in defending the big man's initial power surge and KO'ing him later in the fight. Also props to Frankie Edgar for choking out the bigger Matt Veach. |

Haha, what a bizarre turn of events. Obviously Big Country had the experience advantage but I was really rooting for Schaub. He seems like he has a good head
on his shoulders and seems pretty talented so I felt bad when he got caught with that punch, but kudos to Big Country for giving Dana the biggest fuck you ever
by winning the whole thing.

Naw, he likely figured that Roy would win it all before they met. I mean, come on - former champion versus a bunch of ex-NFL players and Kimbo? I think he just
went nuts after watching how Roy won his first match with the "tap the guy on the head" move and HOPED he wouldn't win. Dana didn't look too
happy post-match, either. Guess he figures Roy can't sell Xyience for him. But hey, Roy showed he'll be a great pitch man for Burger King!

Ok, this has been bugging me for weeks and I finally can't take it. I'm trying to find out who fought in this one fight I remember, but I just
can't figure it out. Information on the fight:
UFC event. Fighters were both caucasians. Fight ended in a knockout. Specifically, after one of the bloodiest matches I'd ever seen, both guys were groggy as hell. One guy manages to get full mount on the other and starts firing away, but before he can finish the guy on bottom manages to sweep and roll on top into his own full mount, where he ends the fight with punches. One of the most amazing fight endings I'd seen to that point. The two guys were considered good friends before and after the fight, which made how bloody it was all the more amazing. Anyone have any idea who the two fighters were? |
