He hasn't been shown to be particularly mean to the people getting voted off. The only person remaining who could take being voted out by Russell really personally is Shambo, and if anything that would please most of the jury.

I mean, what would be the point of lying about that? I think Natalie won, but I'm not ruling out Russell yet. I'll be very surprised indeed if Mick won. Even if he has more fancy edgic stats, most casual viewers don't know anything about him. Natalie may not get a lot of airtime, but she's still way more memorable than Mick.

I don't give a fuck about edgic, but Russell has had like 5 commercials dedicated solely to him and that's just too much for me. But then again, I think the producers have stopped caring since S8 so I guess it's still possible.

Tom and Earl's wins were pretty obvious but the entire season didn't revolve around them. There weren't commercials upon commercials of "WHAT WILL TOM DO NEXT?" or "IS EARL THE SMARTEST SURVIVOR EVER?" Ethan wasn't obvious to me by the finale. I still thought there was a chance that Kim J could win. And with JT, he at least had competition in Stephen. I could have seen Stephen winning at the time. And there were some rabid Erinn fans who swore she was a good edgic candidate and at least put up a semi-convincing argument. eta - The same goes for Brian. At least with past winners who were mostly obvious, the characters around them got developed and played into the winner's storyline. This season? Not so much. It's been Russell and that episode's boot that get the character development and everyone else has been mostly invisible. But I also feel this season has pretty much just been a promotion for Russell's return next season. So that complicates things. Mmhmm, and added to the completely unconvincing edits of Mick and Natalie who are supposedly in the final three with him, it's really tough to say who wins.

It was obvious that it was him or Ozzy, but we were pretty split at the time, and we knew it would be close (as going by votes on paper it would have been 5-4 Ozzy, but Yul's deal with Adam was unknown to us at the time.) Earl's was, though. Natalie, for the reasons ZombieLinda so awesomely summarized in one image, has the best "edit" at this point, imo. Yes, it doesn't look anything at all like a traditional winner edit per the (bullshit) edgic rationale. (Remember the MARCUS!) But the Natalie/Russell relationship has been under the microscope in the editing bay, and they're clearly telling a story there, one where the only ending that makes sense is Natalie owning Russ at the finish line. Now, this could mean that Natalie finishes second, beating Russell, who comes in third. And I'd be inclined to believe that, if Mick hadn't been so ignored by the editors despite his F3 placement.

I could see Mick sneaking in and winning it, with Natalie finishing 2nd and Russell 3rd. It's possible Mick wins the game with his final TC performance and Natalie loses it based on her TC performance. That's why I'm wary about trying to predict jury votes at this point.
