If anyone should be UTR3, why not Dave? He didn't even have any confessionals. Mick was definitely MOR3 for me.

Ok, here's my edgic ratings for this episode.
Brent: INV1 (180 says Brent, his only line all episode! What a complete 180 from his 'peak' in visibility last episode) Dave: MOR3 (He was just there when needed for Shambo and Russell's stories) Jaison: MORP3 (P for stepping up and winning immunity for his team) John: CPN4 (N SPV from multiple people, Monica & Russell, means N tone) Mick: UTR3 (Mick may have been a 3 visibility, but he was not memorable at all. I mean seriously, the guy got a confessional and TCQ, and after watching the episode 3 times I barely remember what his confessional about (having just watched it 30 minutes ago), but I still can't remember what his TCQ was about. When the visibility chart says you're a 3, and someone else (Natalie) is a 1, but I remember a lot more of what the 1 visibility person did/said then the 3 visibility person, then that means the 3 visibility person was UTR) Monica: UTR1 (I think she got a confessional about John, then disappeared) Natalie: UTRP2 (Challenge visibility at the IC pushes her to a 2) Russell: CP4 (A quiet episode by Russell standards) Shambo: OTTN5 (She was shown as delusional and totally unaware of anything going on in the game, before I was wondering if she could be a F2/F3 loser, now I'm starting think maybe not after some of the stuff they showed at TC, unless the jury brings it up to bash her) Winner: Russell Got to say I'm a bit surprised to see as much agreement as I have about my suggestion that Mick was UTR3, I expected someone to accuse me of trying to sabatoge Mick's chances based on his edgic ratings by continuing the "Mick has been UTR every merge episode" narrative. That's the reason I didn't mention thinking Mick was UTR till my first rewatch earlier today. |

I think Jaison's character arc is being shown as "redemptive" and "inspirational" not so that he will become a deserving winner, but so
that viewers understand why whoever in the final 4 the winner of the final immunity challenge is (Russell?) will have to get rid of him... I think if it's
a Final 3 Tribal Council, we'll be left with a Russell-Shambo-Monica alliance, with Russell deliberately positioning himself in this way to be the sole
remaining Foa Foa member.

I don't know why you'd be surprised. they guy could have the most clear cut CP5 episode ever and some people would still be trying to find a way to say he was UTR and they don't remember even seeing him in the episode. |

I'm almost positive Mick is our winner, I just think he's UTR3. He really didn't have that much content for a MOR3, and what he did have wasn't
that special.

As someone who thinks Mick ISN'T our winner, I still believe he was MOR. He got the scene of buying the hamburger, which was emphasized. He gave the
narrated confessional about voting Dave. And he had the scene with Jaison. He had plenty of content. He's just boring. He's MOR3, not UTR3.

UTR3 is always a tough sell and should only be used, in my opinion, when the 3 in question had no confessionals and no tone.

Kitty Pryde1 wrote:But even some of those scenes like the hamburger one show why he's UTR. The burger scene went like this. Jeff: Next item, a big cheese burger. Mick: $500! Jeff: Just like that Mick shuts down the bidding with one bid. *Mick gets his food, Jaison moans a bit* Jeff: Any regrets about buying that immunity advantage now Jaison? Jaison: Oh yeah I'm having 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th thoughts, I want that burger *cut to shot of Mick taking a bite of the burger* The burger scene had Jaison at the front and doing most of the talking, not Mick. I don't remember enough of the other Mick scenes to argue that he was UTR there to without rewatching them, and I'm not doing that. UTR3 is always a tough sell and should only be used, in my opinion, when the 3 in question had no confessionals and no tone.

I don't understand how people can bump up Natalie to a 2 & have Dave as MOR3, yet insist that Mick's a UTR3. I agree that if you wanna make anyone
UTR3, it's Dave over Mick. And in no way is Natalie a 2.

So that means Mick gets MOR3 .... or why not just end it, give Mick & Dave both UTR3?
^ IMO, Dave was a lot more memorable than Mick -- lolz @ Brett, even people don't even know his name and they even misspell it |

Yet more evidence that this is a very unusually produced (and, by extension, edited) season: It took 84 days of actual screening time to eliminate 12 people. It will take just 10 days to sort through the remaining 8. |

I know that I'm new, but I've been a lurker for a long time and I thought I would throw in my two cents. One of my teachers is a casual fan and she is
rooting for Natalie and barely knows who Mick is. I know that Mick has had more screentime, but he's coming across as boring to casual fans. She thinks he
has no chance of winning the game. even though Nat was INV in the first two episodes she remembers the Nat/Betsy talk on the beach and Nat killing the rat.
And now my point :Shambo came across very negative to my teacher. She liked Shambo until this episode and know she hates her.
Sorry if my post was useless, thought I would just try to help the OTTN or OTTM debate. |

getting real wrote:That unusually scheduled, not produced. But I agree with your point, they shouldn't have moved back the double boot episode so far after black Russell got med evaced. I guess they were worried about having an episode where no one got voted out after two people got forced out of the game for medical reasons in one season. It seems like medical evacs are becoming more common lately on survivor. No wonder why we barely even know some of the people still left at the F8 with just 3 episodes to go. @KMKinCB: no surprise a casual viewer might turn on Shambo after this episode, her N moments far overpowered the P ones this episodes, and she got N SPV from multiple people this episode, including Jeff Probst. Her TC scene was a classic example of what OTT is, in this case an OTTN. |

One thing I'm noticing alot from alot of people is even though Mick has more screentime, Natalie is getting remembered the most. of the two.
One of them is the winner. |

I totally agree. Mick is a narrator -- his MOR edit shows it. Little tone, little complexity. Sure, Natalie may have less screentime, but it's more
significant to herself as a character and player, and she actually has a storyline. Same with Jaison & Shambo, we're very aware of who they are, where
they come from and why they play the way they do -- for better or worse, respectively. And of course there's Russell. We know about his job back home, his
family, his reasons for doing what he does, his ties with pretty much everyone in the game.
Mick's role is essentially equal to Monica's. Mick is the narrator for Foa Foa, and Monica is the narrator for Galu. And arguably I think Monica's edit stands out more because in a season of two players hogging all the airtime (Russell & Shambo) and so many people getting ignored, it's pretty strange that a young girl on the ignored tribe has been 1 of the 3 people given a confessional every single episode, including the first named one of the season. I'm 100% on board for Russell, but in the off chance it's NOT him, I'd have to say either Monica or Jaison. |
