season 1, 2, and 4 they managed to attract 2.4 million viewers during the grand finale. Average rating every week was 2 million
This season only 1 million. but average rating was 900.000 viewers every week. |

Apparently there are rumors that they gave Stan "Black Box" on purpose b/c they thought "Good Day" was the better single and they wanted
Hayley to win but the public spoke and that was it. I'm assuming they means Jaydee and his Sony peeps. I mean "Black Box" doesn't make much
sense lyrically but its catchy as hell so I don't know if buy that story. I just read that when I was downloading BB and people were saying it sucks.
I am glad Sony signed Hayley though, they haven't signed a runner up after the competition in a while.

I like them both a lot actually, I'm surprised they managed to come up with two catchy good songs. Goes to show I think they loved both Stan and Hayley.
Also you know damn well if this was AI they would have saddled them with some shit like NoBo, fucking disgusting. |

Well, I'm one of those people who love songs like NoBo. I listened to Kris' (superior) version for weeks. The only Idol song I hate is Do I Make You
Proud.
And Good Day will probably do well on the radio. I like that neither are standard fare coronation songs, too. They sound like real first singles from each. As much as I think this season sucked, I think if they continue to give Stan and Hayley similar songs, they may actually end up doing really well. |

HA - I just noticed that Stan is only shown from mid-chest and up for most of the video. I guess they didn't want to show his big booty. Poor Miki was

I agree that Kris' NoBo is better but its a truly awful song, worse than usual winner's singles too. I'd call it worse than DIMYP and MD.
I get that AI is stuck in a typical coronation songs mode and they want to include miracles and obstacles and rainbows but its become totally unnecessary and people don't care for it. Start their careers off right and give them a real song to sing that people (majority of people, not just randoms who like shitty songs like KMCMF :P) want to buy and want to listen to on their iPod for longer periods of time than 1 day. It sets a lame tone for their careers and does them very few favours. |

AMLT was the only one with that kind of power and is easily the best coronation song in the world. It had many uses - sounded great on radio (Kelly!) and
could be played across every wedding/romantic event in the world.
Every song after that got incredibly sappy with the mountains, rainbows, pots of gold stuff. And hush :) I love big power ballads, regardless of how cheesy they are! |

AMLT was the only one with that kind of power and is easily the best coronation song in the world.I agree that AMLT is awesome and its hands down the best AI coronation song (although I do have a soft spot for TOML for obvious reasons). That said as a huge Idoltard I would disagree that its the best coronation song in the world. It would be fun to listen to all of the coronation songs from around the world though and rank them, though it would be a mission and a half and I imagine it would be hard to find a lot of them even online. Just in terms of AI, CI and OzI though I'd rank AMLT as the 2nd best coronation song, behind Melissa's "Alive" which I think is one of the best coronation songs ever. |

Alive is definitely awesome and I really, really love Melissa O'Neil, but I don't think it's the best. It is up there, though..
I also have an obvious sweet spot for TOML (#2), with Natalie's Here I Am (#3) and Alive rounding out my top 4. |

I love Idol winning moments, I Youtube them all the time to watch. I love Eva's too when she swears. Stan's is good too even though I wanted a Hayley
win, she was stoked for him which I always love to see. Cookie's of course is my favo and I love Carrie's too personally.
I just love them all, unless I really abhor the winner. Melissa's dad was awesome. I met him once and he was so nice and appreciative of Mel's fans. He was that stoked and enthusiastic in person too. I'm listening to "Good Day" on repeat, I'm up to 9 plays. |
