Thank you for your uneducated response. To begin with I explained my rankings months ago and I go into it further on my little yuku web site. So what about rankings below the top 10? No problems there I guess. To be brief, there is no voting in my rankings. Parameters are set well before the season starts as to what happens when teams win and lose and what the strength of schedule is as it adjusts during the year. The teams play and data is then input. The rest is up to the system I created. Not only is it pretty much consensus, but common knowledge, that the SEC is the strongest conference by far this year! My system and the BCS both tend to show than. Much of what is the argument is due to conference strength and if I were to post points or "votes" as you might view them, you not only would be more confused, but it might burst blood vessels. However, I will tell you while Alabama is overwhelming at number one, the "race" for the next 5 slots are close.

My system has been submitted and reviewed by a number of "experts" including the BCS gurus and in fact has many components of the computer rankings used by the BCS computer rankings. It differs from them in specific ways pertaining to individual computers -- often each of them different. I have worked on this system for over 10 years -- even before the BCS ever was established.

Having said that, I am a Texas alum and if you will notice, I had Texas well down in the rankings to start the season and with perfect reason while throughout the season, the BCS and AP polls have basically set them up in the #2 and #3 positions. Had I gone with my "rah rah" mode, Texas would have been ranked #1 much like the people at Washington think after beating California (you saw the #1 fingers raised).

Finally, I am one that has also proposed playoff scenarios to the NCAA and BCS. Some of which are remotely aligned with posts in this thread. It's about money and about sponsorship along with TV contacts and Bowl contracts. Hard to change the whole system at once. Once you get out of the BCS guaranteed slots, rankings have little to do with the bowls. They don't care. Look at all the 6-6 teams that are in bowls. Makes me sick. Even 7-5 is a bit of a stretch for me.

So, my rankings? They are as good as any BCS computer ranking and frankly, if I had the exposure and money that others, including the horrid Sagrin have, I may just be one to be used by the BCS. But for one thing, the BCS doesn't want computer rankings to include score differential. (When in fact the actual voters are biased by that for sure.) So it is a bit of sad irony there. Imperfect, yes. Does it work? Usually. So Ohio State, for now, is due that slot as are the undefeateds in theirs. Frankly I would like to see them have split Boise and TCU up but it's not to be. But it may have been due to conference strength and the voters aged preferences. You'd have to ask them.
