For months the spoilers indicated Spencer Truman would be Rex's dad, then out of the blue it turns out to be Mitch. What happened here, did the spoiler
folk throw a red herring at us??

The show couldn't get Roscoe Borne to reprise his role earlier - he's always on some soap or doing some project.
I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but over a year ago they had a storyline where Jessica and Nat snuck Allison Perkins out of the mental institution because she claimed to know a huge secret. The secret was supposed to be that Mitch was Rex's dad and that he's still alive. Roxy was freaking out around that time too because she didn't want anyone to find out. They couldn't secure a Mitch return so they put Allison in a coma instead. I think the writers still weren't sure if they could get the actor so they were going to make Rex's dad some past villain to justify Roxy's frequent paranoia about the paternity coming out. Which is why earlier this year they said it would be Spencer. But they got RB to rejoin the show hence the change. |

Just realized the other nite that the guy who plays Charlie, played Jackie's boyfriend on Roseanne when she was a cop and played Laurie Metcalf's (sp)
husband on Desperate Housewives. he looks so much older, even from DH a couple years back
