Guess she didn't notice that the housing market took a dive at the beginning of this year, especially in California. Even in those places where it has semi-recovered, there are still a ton of short sales choking the market so that can't be bringing in the bucks like it was before. He also does pawn loans. He got his pawn license. Now, that, I believe. . He used to own a pool-table business. That was an $8 million-a-year-profit company. Again, it's the economy, stupid. Big ticket items, expensive vacations, expensive and un-necessary toys, blah blah blah.. those things are the first items a family will cut out of their budget when they have to tighten their belts. So he can't be making an insane profit that way anymore.

So, basically, the pawn business is the only one he might be making a profit from currently. I think you're right, Factoryhurl. Something smells like BS and it's not just the crap they spew about how "in love" with each other they are.
