I might not have much retrospect yet, but I'm going to go out on a limb and declare Samoa not that bad of a season. The focus on Russell was at times
unbearable, but at least he walked away humbled instead of a predictable winner that coasted and dominated. And you know what, the guy was
entertaining. As was most of the season. It was hard to find someone to really root for at times, but the winner ended up being pretty likable and all the
not-so-likable characters had glorious failures. Foa Foa's underdog story was easy to see coming, but the way in which they progressed throughout the game
was unique and interesting. Samoa had its share of slow episodes, but it also had some really amusing moments and a good finale. Flip the boot order, balance
the editing, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I still liked it. Somewhat.
