I've wondered if the producers could take TAR to pay per view if CBS didn't come through.What would the sweet spot price point be which would maximize profits? Any idea how much it costs to produce a season of TAR? I read hundreds of persons work on the show pre-production through editing and distribution.

Just a little more detail to give some perspective. TAR did really well up against a sporting event. Hopefully TAR producers will work with CBS to not schedule TAR when there are Sunday night sporting events -- it dillutes the significance of the ratings.

I consider TAR a sporting event and then some--a less than one decade old sporting event which competes favorably with the mature, institutionalized/socially programmed sport of Football. No doubt TAR outperforms footblah if other countries' ratings are included. A key question for me remains unanswered. I just knew someone here could tell me what [psycho]demographic "segments" find TAR appealing. I find it more than appealing. I'm a honest to goodness fan(atic) and seriously contend TAR is one of the best things ever conceived and produced by man. Are TAR viewers the 67th segment? Doesn't it make sense that a "competition like no other" would attract an unusual viewership? And yes, I may be wanting to know too much about myself and might not like what I find.
