I am so sorry to hear that ATWT has been cancelled. When I was growing up, I used to watch it with my grandmother. She was a fan of the CBS soaps. However,
when I became a teenager I switched to the ABC soaps. One Life To Live was my favorite. I have a feeling that is next.

I've never watched ATWT but I don't like hearing that any soap gets cancelled, as it does not bode well for those remaining on the air. I have high
hopes that the soaps will instead be broadcast on the internet, instead of cancelled outright.

Whenever a soap gets canceled, I wonder if they'll go out the way Loving did. For anyone that doesn't know about it, Loving turned one of its most
beloved characters, Gwen, into a serial killer and she mowed down half the cast. Not that I want to see half the cast die (unless I get to choose the cast;
I'm seeing a Luke/Noah wedding, even if Illinois doesn't allow gay marriage), but it works because you don't have to worry about writing yourself
out of it (Days of Our Lives, I'm looking at you). They could really make anyone the killer and kill anyone off.

Would have been very hard to bring back Gus or Tammy considering how they died. I was really hoping for a Harley cameo. That and I REALLY wanted Ross to come
back even if off camera. Still Blake got together with Frank which was nice.

So sad. Seems like ATWT has the most famous alums of any soap, I wonder if they could get some of them to come back and reprise their roles, just for a few
episodes. Off the top of my head: Meg Ryan, Marisa Tomei, Ming Na, Julianne Moore, Parker Posey, Jordana Brewster, Dana Delany, Shawn Christian, etc.

Lisa's in it the least of the 3 with Bob probably the most. Had a semi-big story not long ago. I don't mind Martha Byrne not playing Lily now. She's great but Noelle's done a great job. Can we get James back just one more time though?? His return in the mid-90s is still one of the ebst scenes ever. JOhn & Barbara alone on the Valetta expecting a big party in honour of John brining the new hospital owners National HelathTech to the hospital. Barbara "Just, where is everybody? James enters, "It's a small party Barbara, try to relax." and later "Barbara Ryan?! Barbara Ryan?! You're Barbara Stenbeck. You'll always be Barbara Stenbeck!" of course no one line was better/creepier than "Hello Barbara." |
