Wow.. what a sorry ass excuse for a human being.. What's that line from Jack Nicholson? "Here's a can of raid and an enema.. go flush that bug out
of your ass"?

They signed some type of contract that they can not work on 'the beach' or 'coast' or whatever if they quit or are fired? So they have to work
for that witch for the rest of their lives or be exiled from working in South Beach? Did I hear that right?

Yeah, I'm surprised Tabitha didn't make a bigger deal about that.

Also surprised Tabatha didn't make a bigger deal about Nikki taking the stylists' tips then "giving" them back the next morning. That was
total bullshit. You know she's keeping some of that yet the stylists are the ones who earned it.
God but she's an incredibly unbelievably unpleasant person. I notice they didn't interview her husband. He's probably too cowed to even speak. Can you imagine what she puts him through during sex? "What? TONIGHT?!? Christ, it's been a year already? Come on, then, since you insist, get it up and stick it in already. Aren't you done YET?" All Nikki is missing are thigh-high boots and a riding crop. Tabs tried to give everything a positive spin there at the end but it was a totally lost cause. If Nikki is "so done with them", then close the fuckin' shop. No, no, instead I hope Suzie, the stylists and all the sylists' customers quit, en-masse. Edited to add: I don't think I have to revise that statement because it still holds true. In real life, you don't always have a happy ending because there are some people who have bricks for brains. They won't listen or make changes no matter what even if it would be to their benefit. Nikki is a case in point. Even though she threatened to close the salon, she'll never do it because she's a closet sadist. She finds perverse pleasure in making others miserable and the salon gives her the perfect opportunity to do that. She's actually addicted to spreading misery so, unfortunately, there was no way she was going to change nor was she going to keep any of the changes that gave her employees the least bit of happiness. Rather sad, really. Especially for the employees.

I doubt that a non-compete clause in a hairdressing contract would hold up in court.

Just finished the episode. It's pretty bad when Tabatha becomes the sweet, hand holding one -- Nikki is awful to those people. I agree that a giant staff
walk-out would be appropriate but even that probably wouldn't be enough of a wake up call for Nikki. In the beginning she said she didn't have that
American "good job", pat everyone on the head spirit, yet her style of management clearly isn't working. I don't know why she wouldn't
think to soften her approach? Learn who you're dealing with and alter the way you handle situations.
Next week looks good, too. And here I thought Bang Salon was going to be the worst one we would see this season. |

The worst thing was that she refused to believe that there was any chance that they would improve. They're right that it is impossible to please her, if
she won't believe that any good work they do will last.

I doubt that "attaboy's" are only a US thing. There is something seriously wrong with you if you have to make everyone else's life miserable
just to make yourself feel good. And that's Nikki. She's completely fucked up in the head.

I just finally caught this episode.. JESUS H CHRIST! Come on the woman is a HEAD CASE and clearly her staff haven't got a brain between them.. Why are they
there. So they can't work on the strip.. that is total bullshit and a fucking supercuts would be an improvement.
Get real and get out. Why do I think this is another bullshit set up? Come on the woman was just belligerent and hostile and had no interest in the process yet goes on a show about improving your salon? REALLLY? And if she hates them fire them.. so what is that all about.. sadist and the staff masochists.. come on don't believe this... so I will put this on my "investigation" list. |

Glams Slam, I think the episode you're referring to was "Brownes and Co." aka, salon owned by Madam Nazi-in-training. That was last week's
show. (Brownes? Is that like "Brown" except someone decided if they added an "e" at the end, that would make it more sophisticated? Hmm..
so I if I wrote "my puckered browne starfish" [sarcasm] oh, yes, now I see.. That little "e" definitely gave that just a hint of class. [/sarcasm]) Anyway, wow, wasn't her cuntiness just amazing to behold? Her personality was even harsher than
that horrible green-glitter pineapple shirt she wore. Man, it was ugly.. I've seen casino carpets that were less garish.
Anyway, tonight's episode was Refuge salon owned by the ex-Amish bimbette (sorry, forgot her name). Little disappointed that they didn't teach bimbette how to balance a checkbook. Wasn't that one of the many basic problems the salon had? How will she know how her business is doing? Tabatha should have made her prioritize all the outstanding bills so bimbette would at least know how far in debt she was and what the next crisis was going to be. |

I agree. They don't teach the owners that need it most the basics of how to run a business. It's the same formula every week. This was another salon
where the owner should sell immediately and cut her losses. She was totally incompetent. And six weeks later all the answers to Tabatha's questions
indicated nothing has changed. It was all bullshit.
