lolololol guess who is back to being a holder on fgs and xps!

A player who is still remembered for botching a hold for the Cowboys in a playoff game will get another chance in that role. After several missed field goals by Nick Folk, holder-punter Mat McBriar has been demoted and he'll be replaced by none other than Tony Romo.

McBriar has admitted to "lunging" while trying to spot the ball for folk. I'm not sure that's why Folk has missed so many field goals in the 40-49-yard range but the Cowboys are willing to try anything at this point.

Coach Wade Phillips stopped short of confirming the change Wednesday but strongly hinted that it would happen. And don't feel sorry for McBriar. I think he's thrilled with the change. He's never felt comfortable as the holder. Now he can focus on booting the ball 60 yards.

I actually like the Cows' chances this week. Wade Phillips is completely pissed at the local media for writing tons of stories that Jerry Jones should have hired Norv instead of him (talk about your bad short list), and Wade may have woken up enough to do something about it.

I'm with ya Alan.

even though everything points to a Chargers win since they're red hot and have won 14 straight december gms, I have a feeling Dallas shows up in december for a change and plays a big game this weekend. they're the more desperate team and SD could lose this game, beat the Bengals at home, and still get the #2 seed.

still think the Boys are falling short of the playoffs though.

My analysis of the AFC:

Cowboys will lose to Chargers.

Bengals will beat the Chargers.

Steelers suck.

Patriots suck.

Broncos suck.

Colts will beat Bengals to win AFC.

i know jit,

@ anyone thinking the san diego super chargers will lose to the bengals. theyll actually get two wins cause not only will they win, theyll let ochocinco score and laugh when he makes a sand angel for his celebration. (or maybe since its right before christmas hell get them a nice gift, either way, win-win)
