I just don't care about the gimmick because both brothers individually were worthy of being there and making it to the end. I have a much bigger problem with the gimmick of "chefs" like Robin being cast and kept around for the "drama" they provide when they aren't worthy of competing at this level. As for the winner being a douche, I have mixed feelings. I hated Jeffrey winning Project Runway, but that was because he was a douche whose DESIGN I hated. If he had been a douche and made great clothing, I wouldn't have minded. Michael earned his win by being the best combination of solid cook and food visionary.

I didn't find that he had an entertaining personality at all. Does he even have a personality? Russell on Survivor is a tremendous douchebag, but he is entertaining. So was Richard Hatch. Johnny Fairplay. Brian Heidik. Countless others on countless other shows. Younger Volt does not fall into the same category.

Remove this ad Isabella was the one kept around for the "Drama" he was providing. It sickens me that Robin is the only one you see, Drew. THAT is what made it less than a stellar season for me. There were SEVERAL in the middle of the pack who should have been let go but weren't for "entertainment" value.

The episode didn't keep my interest, even while it was on I barely paid attention, probably because I read the spoilers didn't care. Hopefully the editors pull their heads out of their asses and give the audience a more honest view of what really happens with the food and the judges table. I won't hold my breath, but this shit is killing my interest in this show. I wonder if they fired Lee Ann for being so blunt in her blogs? Last season she really confirmed some shenanigans (sorry, don't remember the details) and then suddenly her blog was gone for a LONG time. This season her blog has been toned down, and now she's gone. Anyone hear any good rumors or gossip about this?

He is very articualte and very sweet. He speaks fondly of Jen and Kevin and is a big supporter of Michael. I have been a fan of Bryan's all season and found his demeanor rather shy and charming. Michael wrote today's blog - he is growing on me and even though I wanted Bryan to win, MV, as well as Kevin deserved it. Michael, of course is not as reserved as Bryan and it shows in his blog. I wish these bros the best of luck and Kev, Jen and Eli too.

They honestly could have shortened the series to 2 episodes -- the first one eliminating everyone except Michael, Bryan, Kevin & Jennifer, and the finale with those 4. Has there ever been a season with so much fodder and such a HUGE gap between the top contenders and everyone else? I remember Candice ("you're a tool and a douchebag") from S1 being said to be way below the other chefs in skill level, but even she would easily come in 5th place on this season. I honestly don't know how Preeti even got cast. She was the worst of the worst.

If anyone thinks he let them down, they need to rethink that one... Kevin was nothing, if not totally professional through out the whole season. I don't think he said a mean thing about anyone. He showed he can cook great things. He showed, like Carla and others, that you don't have to use immersion techniques, foams, and chemicals to make a really good meal. Look at some of the things he's won.. a chance to compete in that high falutin' cook off thingy (love those technical terms) and a guest chef spot at next years Pork and Pinot event. I think there are other things too.. He came off as a really nice guy who can cook.. and I would rather eat his meals than either of the Voltaggios.
