MICK WINS.
Tonight definitely sealed it. He even got a winner's quote |

THIS WAS POLLY-SUE'S BEST EP YET
MICK WAS SHOWN TO BE A RETARD TWICE: A) "I used to be the leader but I sucked at it now Russell's the leader" B) NOT TURNING ON RUSSTARD (Polly Sue thought about it off screen trust) |

Jaison continues to be the voice of the opposition to Russ, but his edit's been so erratic over the course of the game. Mick's getting a steady,
Ethan-like edit. Probably our boring winner.

Still don't see Mick winning. He still has NO tone. He may have gotten screentime, but he's just so...blah!
Edgic is so odd this season, all have MAJOR things to be eliminated for. Brett's the most invisible contestant ever, Natalie has huge inconsistancy, Shambo's been made to look like an idiot MANY times, Russel is a total decoy winner, Mick is just boring and had a horrible merge up until this episode...I can't see Jaison winning, but I think he has, overall, the most likely winner's edit. |

Mick: MOR3 or CP3, probably CP but I kind of fell asleep when he came on screen
Jaison: MOR3, kind of similar to Mick in the sense I fell asleep, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't quite CP this episode. Russell: CPN5 Natalie: UTR1 Brett: MORPPP3 Dave: MOR3 Shambo: OTT3, she was very simplified this episode, but not really N or P. Monica: CPN4 |

Wow, just wow! Yet another episode without a confessional for Natalie. That's just amazing! Could she actually end up in the finale with less than 10
confessionals?
I'd have to say that in this very unconventional season, Jaison looks like the best chance to win. Erratic is MUCH better than boring or over the top IMHO. Plus, we know a HELLUVA lot more about Jaison than Mick. However, if Russell ends up winning and people are PISSED after they watch the show, I think that it will change the way folks view the game for the little life the show still has. This could be why after Brian won, females actually stepped up to do something and won 4 of the next 6 seasons. Unfortunately, I don't see there being more than 1 or 2 seasons after this one. |

Foreshadowing | ||

I hope people saw the massive foreshadowing surrounding Jaison tonight, and not in a good way.
Natalie was UTR1 again, with only Probst's comment regarding her bathing suit falling off and her and Russell's confrontation surrounding a miscommunication of who told Galu about Russell's richness. Russell's not winning. Brett and Shambo obviously aren't. Jaison has some ominous signs tonight, so its either Natalie or Mick. No idea. Just think about this though: The whole season has been based around " CAN SOMEONE BEAT RUSSELL?!". Its obvious from the editing that Russell loses, no doubt about it. So who has actually spoken to beating Russell? Natalie. Mick has always been shown as one step behind Russell, with him trying to figure out if Russell will keep him in the game, instead of figuring how to beat him. Either choice is a longshot at this point, but logically, Natalie's win makes the most sense. CPPP5 for her in the finale?? haha |

I think the main problem I have with Jaison winning is that if he had we would probably have seen the CPP prototype like guys like JT Earl and Yul. (And we
would have seen that scene from the recap in the actual show) Instead he's just been this middling MOR guy with tone all over the place and in every
episode but not all that well developed.

Thoughts during the episode
-Interesting recap to show stuff from the recap episode and insider videos of Russell footage, why wasn't this included in the actual episode then? Russell shown as controlling Gelu's votes, Jaison worried but votes with Russell anyway -Ok, so Russell's money comes up, and it wasn't in a regular episode, that's really dumb.I guess they wanted a mention of it more fresh in the viewers minds perhaps -Russell labeled a jury threat, and Mick surprisingly, doubt about Russell making it to the end with him getting targeted, Brent thinks they may have found cracks in Foa Foa, yeah, looks like another episode of Foa Foa not breaking up. -Jaison's starting to step up his game again, 15 minutes in he looks pretty darn good this episode. -Laura waves to Brent and says stay strong, well I guess that Brent vote wasn't so crazy, look he has a jury connection now! -Mick shown worrying about who Russell will take to the end, Russell worrying that Mick might flip from getting nervous -Wow, LOTS of Foa Foa drama, I guess the bold Russell move was wearing the HII, clever of him, good show for the jury to. -So now we know why Monica won't vote for Russell, so far it sure looks like it could be a boy vs girl vote on the jury from Gelu.. -An awful lot of jury talk this episode, surprising how much there was, I mean 3 people were labeled jury threats at some point (Russell, Mick, & Shambo). I have to say I'm a bit surprised to be shown all that "you gotta vote out Shambo she's a jury threat" stuff for nothing, for even Gelu to abandon the plan. Was it really there for drama over the vote, or was there more of a purpose to it? I can think of 2 other purposes it serves 1) Maybe it was more about trying to portray Shambo as a jury threat, to create suspense when she faces the jury (if she does), or 2) to portray Russell as too willing to do really risky moves, even if he didn't actually go through with it. So who was INV by the end of the first vote? I think Natalie was up till then, I can't really remember anything Mick said, but I definitely remember him in a few short scenes that didn't focus on him, and others talking to him. Once again we hear people worry about a Russell/Natalie/Shambo F3, the second time it's come up this season, I think the first was in the recap episode, why bring it up twice? |

It depends on how you see Edgic. If you see it as an inflexible system governed by unbending rules, then no-one is an Edgic possiblity this season. However, if you see Edgic as an important tool governed by an overall philosophy rather than inflexible rules, then you arrive at different conclusions.In other words, either: 1) nobody wins or 2) somebody wins. Profound. Both Jaison and Mick fail the second guideline, the one about requring a fair amount of meaningful editing and not being ignored in long stretches.Well now you're just making stuff up. Better stick to your first point. |

Jaison | ||

Jaison on the beach at the start of the ep, where he says, a fully audible, yet subtitled (??) quote about having to "win immunity to stay in the
game". Then he's shown speaking again about immunity, and that Brett winning a few immunities could really screw up the Foa Foa's plan. Just think
about it - even Laura gets a subtitled comment to Brett (he actually had a solid episode??) about "staying strong". That sure as hell points to a
showdown between Brett and Jaison, and in my opinion, Brett beats Jaison - so either next ep or the one after, Brett will stay in it and break the Foa Foa 4.
Of course, by the end of the season, Brett will be on the jury - since he has no edit and would have clearly won if he had made the finals.
So Jaison goes home at the hands of Brett winning an immunity. Re-watch the eps and you'll see. And I am supporting Natalie, but its funny the scene at the start of the ep, surrounding the biggest threats at the end to get all the votes, and Mick and Russell are mentioned with "confidence" (If Amanda gets to the end, she's gonna win!). Natalie isn't mentioned at all (not sure if that was a manipulated edit or what). My gut says Russell doesn't get the votes to win, and no idea with Mick. Natalie is hidden. |

I actually saw Monica's comments towards Russell, and Russell's comments at TC that they would have been together had they started off at the same
tribe, as indications that Monica would vote for him at a FTC. There was a definitely a connection established between them in this ep. At least from my
perspective.
