As a Senator Obama voted two thumbs up to all the TARP and stimulus programs, so it rings hollow to keep blaming the previous administration for the increases.
Obama lurves the spending. That's all he's ever done as a politician - spend money.

Hmmm....
Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus' office confirmed late Friday night that the Montana Democrat was carrying on an affair with his state office director, Melodee Hanes, when he nominated her to be U.S. attorney in Montana. According to a source familiar with their relationship, Hanes and Baucus began their relationship in the summer of 2008 - nearly a year before Baucus and his wife, Wanda, divorced in April 2009. The Senator had informally separated from his wife in March 2008 and they were living apart when he began dating Hanes, according to Baucus' office. Hanes ended her employment with Baucus in the spring of this year.

The Stimulus. Obama's brainchild, and a complete failure. Worse than a failure, it has created very few jobs but has inflated the deficit, and future
generations will be paying for his stupidity. Now he suggests that we spend even more moey in a very similar manner, he's as stupid as his supporters.

Pathetic, isn't it? They just can't bring themselves to condemn a Democrat. No matter what. |

CBRetriever wrote: Nearly $6 million in stimulus money was paid to two firms run by Mark Penn (photo above), Hillary Clinton's pollster in 2008. Federal records show that $5.97 million from the $787 billion stimulus helped preserve three jobs at Burson-Marsteller, the global
public-relations and communications firm headed by Penn.
Penn received scrutiny during and after the 2008 presidential campaign for the role he played in Clinton's unsuccessful White House bid. Some Clinton
supporters questioned whether his service was worth the millions in fees he billed to the campaign.
Penn's firm billed the campaign $5 million for polling and at least $8 million for sending out direct-mail pieces, according to Time
magazine. Clinton's campaign still owes Penn, Schoen & Berland $995,500, according to Federal Election Commission records.

I seem to remember that the first stumulus came out of a Republican controlled senate under GWB, or am I wrong? I do consider a tax rebate to be a stimulus
package 'cause it's meant to stimulate the economy.
