Actually, JP's observations about Nat and her undies is pretty interesting if you really give it some thought. (I personally get a chuckle out of everyone who thinks because JP finds something a female does interesting it must mean he has the "hots" for her. If we apply that logic evenly across the board the JP must be "bi" because he makes many observations about the men.) Anyway, I am going to try and explain what I think... I ask for your tolerance in advance if it comes out poorly.

Survivor strips away all semblance of civilization. No shelter, food, beds, showers, toothpaste, soap etc, etc. These people are totally deprived of everything. Furthermore they are, by the nature of the game, forced to make allies then lie to them to further their own game. They are starving, sleep deprived, totally miserable and most of the things causing their misery is beyond their control. In the middle of all this we have Natalie washing and hanging up her undies, by all accounts something we wouldn't expect to see anyone thinking of let alone actually doing the task. I think it makes a statement as to Nat not giving up on everything civilized simply because the circumstances seem to demand it. This is something Nat does have control over and while she may be cold, hungry, tired and dirty, clean underwear is something from her civilized life that she does have control over and it brings a sense of normalcy to an otherwise abnormal situation.
This is why I think JP finds this so interesting.
