But at least his worked in the short term. Obama's has been a phenomenal failure in the short term; the goal was saving and creating jobs and unemployment is way up from when the bill was signed. The long term effects will be worse because some day we're going to have to pay for it. Or, more accurately, future generations will. If you trust the government numbers that have been posted on recovery.gov, there have been 640,000 jobs saved or created (and no one believes those numbers, but let's pretend). If a third of the $787 billion has been spent that means that each job cost over $400,000.
