Monica's entire edit last night was all like "I'm going to tell people about everything that has happened!!!!!" to Russell......when Dave probably already filled everyone in on what's going on. She tells Russell she is going to poison the jury house against him so no one will vote for him. She then makes a half hearted attempt to to get Russell voted out. WTF??? So basically she's saying she'll insure if he goes to the end he won't get any votes, then she's trying to get the others to get rid of him. Oh Monica, Monica, Monica. You simple little girl. Her scrambling seemed for naught though. I thought she should have targeted Shambo hard. Paint her as the ultimate jury threat (one thing is for sure, and that is that Shambo is the biggest goat in Survivor history. No way she gets any votes. Just hope that people believe she will get votes.) The key player at this point is the 5th person, who will be the swing vote in the Foa Foa 4 when we get down to final 5. That's the only safe position IMO.

The purpose of this thread ISN'T to highlight Monica's amazing strategic mind and gameplay throughout the entire season.. It was to appreciate the fact that she said something about Russell that some posters agree with (i.e. me). I couldn't stand the bitch all season, but I LOVED that she said this at TC last night. <3

Saying someone is still in the game because they used a HII is like saying "You're still in this game because you formed an effective alliance!" or "You're still in this game because you're pleasant and hard-working!" It makes no sense. What was irritating last night was Monica's smug look. She pissed off Russell -- big fucking deal. That's like being proud of convincing Shambo to do something stupid or being proud of making John act cocky or being proud that you got Laura to act like a bitch. What's easier than making Russell angry?

Like them or not, everyone has to accept that the idols are a part of Survivor now, and a key factor in playing Survivor has always been adaptability. If you can't adapt to the rules of the idol and play accordingly, then your game isn't good enough. And Monica had just as much of an opportunity to find the idols as Russell did. They were all at camp, not exile and Russell only ever got one clue (but he didn't need clues for the first two). People who claim the game is rigged would probably be the same people who can't adapt to the idols being a part of the game. Yea, Russell got to the final 6 (soon to be final 5) because of idols, good for him. This is where Monica got without idols: If Monica were the one finding idols every round, she'd be worshipped.

That's not what she said, she thought something was up because according to her, she looked for the idol at the bridge, and because she didn't find it and Russell did, she thought something was fishy. We have no idea of whether Laura was their before Russell or after, or even where she looked. Perhaps she just stood there waiting for a sign from God. I know that may not sound good to the conspiracy theorists, but IF CBS manipulated the HIIs in any way and got found out, it would be the end of Survivor period. The fallout would be just as bad as the game show fixes in the 1950s.
