So I only started watching this show like 2 weeks ago and I already caught up with all 6 seasons so far.

I caught the British version early on and couldn't imagine anything funnier. I was in the camp of people disgusted that America can't come up with anything original and were going to ruin a great show. Also Ricky Gervais is repulsive in every way and I would kind of like to have sex with Steve Carrel so I felt like the casting was way off.

I couldn't have been more wrong. They very quickly departed from the original series and made it their own and I actually like it better than the British version now. I think my favorite thing about it is how they made the ensemble cast a more important part of the show because each of them is such a brilliant character actor.

So far the episode that had me laughing the hardest was the opening scene of the one where Dwight starts the fire to teach them all about fire safety. The only thing I am sad about is now I have to wait with everyone else for new episodes instead of being able to watch 5 and a half seasons back to back.
