Plus with his hang up for Finn, Rachel just drove his "forbidden love" away from what they had in common. I agree that the kids probably didn't know that Will gave the line up to Sue, but it didn't matter.. because the line up Will gave, didn't include Mercedes singing AIATY. They didn't decide that until Will handed off the club to the Miss Pilsbury.. Whom, I just noticed, accuses the Deaf Teacher of having his chorus doing "Don't START Believing" HA! Personally, I watched the "My Life Would Suck Without You" performance about six times, not wanting to let the show end. Glee is not scheduled to return with new episodes until April 13 (the cast and crew will begin shooting the back nine episodes in early January) but EW does have some info that will hopefully help you handle your withdrawal: sources close to the show say that there are plans to release original content during the hiatus (similar to how clips and music were released this past summer between the May preview and the season premiere) and that an episode marathon is being discussed prior to the series returning. While nothing is official yet, Gleeks, your best bet is to check out the series twitter and Facebook pages for updates. Meanwhile, Fox says it's not concerned about Glee's four-month long hiatus. "If I were ABC, I would be concerned about FlashForward because those shows are ending in a downward cycle-Glee's ending in an upward cycle," says Preston Beckman, Fox's EVP of Strategic Program Planning and Research. "The best news of all is that when it returns it's gonna be sitting behind American Idol. So it's not like we're putting it in a time period where it's gonna have to fight."

But is it the same demographic that watches both shows? Glee is pretty high in the 18-34 demo, so is Lost. And a bunch of people on this board are already deciding between Lost or Glee come April. So I think there can be an overlap. The difference I think will be in the Idol lead-in so I'm actually more worried for Lost having low viewers in its last season :/

Since this is Lost's last season and last season was so great, I will absolutely be watching Lost over Glee. I will record Glee and watch the next day. It's not even a question for me that Lost trumps Glee in my world of television viewing.

It's not like they can cancel Lost. The 4 month layoff isn't that big a deal for Glee -- it survived the 4 month layoff between the pilot and the second episode already. I think the ratings for Glee are going to go through the roof with the Idol lead-in. And with Idol routinely running over, Glee will probably get the lion's share of the live viewers with Lost being relegated to DVR amongst AI fans. I'm sure Fox has the overflow all planned out.

The episodes are (or will soon be) in the can and I doubt they'll cancel it regardless of how the ratings are at this point. The public would have a meltdown and it would be terrible for the network. 'Glee', however, needs to have all the support it can get- additional seasons depend on it. For once I would like to see one of "my" shows do well and not get canned after a half season or two ('Wonderfalls'/'Pushing Daisies' I'm looking at you).

If its numbers are truly, downright awful the worst that can happen is it gets moved to another night, maybe even Saturdays. I don't know why anyone would even consider this a possibility. The show already has a finite ending, and even if it isn't in the can yet, no network (even Fox) would be stupid enough to pull it. The merchandising and DVD sales alone are probably enough to cover the cost of most of the final season, and ad time is already on sale. I'm not saying choose Glee over Lost - that's your own personal choice, and I haven't even made mine yet. But to speculate on Lost's cancellation is completely ludicrous considering the show's history and its concrete future.

LOST is a massive mind-fuck that the average viewer is confused as fuck with and probably thinks it's a really fucked up season of Survivor.
