Russell could also make a case about how much he lied to everyone period. The Katrina thing, his dogs, etc. now these people are supposed to believe one thing
he said? Just own up to your massive evilness, Russell, with all the mentally challenged people on this season, it might work.

He would be stupid to tell them he lied about being a Katrina victim. That would almost assurredly turn the entire jury off.
Would you want to vote for someone that lied about being a Katrina victim/survivor? I know I sure as hell wouldn't. |

In Tocantins the fact that Taj was wealthy might not cause me to refuse to vote for her but to find out Russell had profited from the misfortunes suffered in the Gulf hurricanes and then lied about being a victim to benefit in this game....no vote. Even if he hadn't profited from it, just lied about being a victim...no vote. Not jury bitterness either. |

You can have all the best and biggest plays of the season and still go poof because of a single slip. Say what you will, but I don't think Russell will be too deeply affected by the end result. |

Russell has quite a bit of time to make up whatever kind of bullshit he is going to feed to the jury. Whether it is just him owning up to his evilness, or some
other crap, they will buy his story, they have all season, what makes you think this jury will suddenly get brain transplants now?

Phukdis wrote: Simple: Russell failed to take into account that jurors do compare notes on a near-continuous basis. He chose a genuine national disaster as the basis for his subterfuge. That lie, coupled with his true story, just happened to reach the wrong ears, and the whole bucket of beans got spilled before the bench. Given the idol play that dropped Kelly through the trapdoor, and that a Foa Foa is not yet on the jury (though at least one will be), it's safe to say nothing Russell says or does from here on out is going to change their impressions. Don't bet against the end-game playing out like a lynch mob (one guess as to whom the mob leader is). And with a three-player end game, the jury is going to have an extra option a Final Two doesn't accord.

Honestly, if it were to work out where Russell, Mick and Shambo were in the Final 3, Russell could still win. The chances would be slim, but this could have
been the strategy: Shambo is a non factor, so it boils down to a Final 2. She'll get no votes. Mick dragged the dangerous info out of Russell, by offering
the "I'll tell you if you tell me" olive branch. Russell only needs to convince 5 people that he lied to Mick in order for him to find out
exactly what Mick did. As much as Mick claimed he had "ammo" to use against Russell, can't Russell's knowledge that Mick is a doctor also be
construed as "ammo?" So if you have rich dude, rich dude and shambo to choose from, what becomes the criteria? Russell has to be hoping his game, not
his W2, is being compared to Mick. What sinks Russell is the fact that the 2 Foas on the Jury would have to decide between the two...therefore the criteria
becomes how badly Russell screwed each one of them putting them on the jury.

Regarding the Katrina lie, the fact that no one has said during interviews that they were surprised that he cooked up that lie in the beginning says to me that
they are not surprised because it comes up during some point in the game. They all seem to mention the sock burning incident though.

I stand corrected -- $100,000.
Ignore my initial post. It has been rendered completely invalid. Ha ha |

Meh, I didn't think it was a big deal that it came out. It would have eventually anyway, whether Mick ends up in the jury or in the finals. What was really
stupid is that he told anyone, especially after the Katrina lie. But it's just another example of how Russell can't help himself and why he won't
win the game. I still expect his jury performance to be horrible - and last night's TC was a foreshadowing of just that.

His jury performance might not matter. What does matter is how those who make the jury are handled. Jiffy Poopiehead can cream his panties and spin it all he
wants, his precious golden boy just shot himself in the foot. Most of the jurors already have far too much reason to vote against him. Now he's sealed it.

On the Katrina lie, as far as I know, nobody has said anything about knowing that to be a lie while the game was going on. What they say in the post taping
interviews doesn't matter, they would have already voted. Anybody got a link to something that shows Russell telling anyone that during the game?

If he made $1.7M last year, they can probably (note "probably", with this cast it's a crap shoot) deduce that he is not a fireman.
Regardless of which one is a lie, it should be clear to them that one of them must not be true. |

Honestly, the only people he told the Katrina lie to were Foa Foa members, six of whom didn't make the merge. Did anyone on Galu hear it? It seems like Natalie, Mick, and Jaison all know Russell is wealthy, and if they know he's an oil company owner, they know that he didn't live in the ninth ward of New Orleans when Katrina hit. |

They now know he is very wealthy, but we don't know if the nonsense about being flooded/stranded/losing his dogs, etc. reached them either through current Foans or Yasmin/Shambo visits. We do know that post-merge Jaison & John walked on the beach in Foans attempt to build relationships, find cracks. And that John claims he and Jaison had plans to work together after Laura vote. Don't know where that comes from because Jaison bid on IC clue to block John from winning immunity. But there may have been things said about Russell during the beach walk which led John to think Jaison wanted to work with John to get rid of Russell and that info would be at jury house. |
