Oh, wow, I totally forgot that - those two didn't really have any scenes together. I wonder if there's bad blood? Chevy was an unrepentant asshole for
years, and I seem to remember stories of him terrorizing the kids on the first movie. He's supposedly "taken stock" of his life and changed, but
maybe AMH hasn't forgotten. Eh. I thought the geek to meat head line was a direct allusion to him - circa Edward Scissorhands he was practically
unrecognizable because he'd been working out so much.

I think this last episode was right up there with the one where Jeff hung out with senor Chang and Troy & Abed serenaded a rat.
Easily the comedy that I look forward to the most - I still love you Liz Lemon, sorry. For me, Britta had a good episode not having to play the heavy. Her "punk'd" line and Jeff's speech about how they all helped him take down a gang of fly dancers were highpoints. But I nearly coughed up a lung when Pierce suckered Troy into looking at the hot looking black chick, kicked him in the shin and Troy's anguished "WHY'D SHE HAVE TO BE BLACK?!" Troy is such a better character on this show than I ever thought he would be. I will be so happy when I get this show on dvd. |

"Why'd she have to be Black?" killed me too. I fucking love this show.
Oh and Pierce's obviously cult "Buddhism" was also fantastic. I just love how it got weirder and weirder. |

What the fuck are these people watching, because I'm enjoying a ton of these shows on right now. Community keeps getting better and better. Everyone in the cast gels pretty well together and brings their own thing to the table, leading to some fantastic stuff. Hope this sticks around awhile. |

I still hear people talk about how TV is terrible these days because of bad reality shows, the bulk of which are on basic cable. These people should take their
heads out of their asses and then kill themselves.

^^ Agreed, Hanson. A few years ago that would have been a legitimate gripe, but scripted shows have gotten so much better over the past 3 years or so that I
rarely bother with reality TV anymore, because I don't have time to keep up with them. Although I will never stop watching Survivor until it goes off the
air.

A few years ago, I realized that most movie comedies weren't as funny as four episodes of Wings. Which is amazing since those four episodes of Wings took
about a jillionith of the resources and time than whatever star-centric rom-com was in the theaters at the time.
Since then, I've noticed that most movies don't pass the Wings test. And I'd put up four episodes of Community against any comedy in theaters right now. |

Troy is such a better character on this show than I ever thought he would be. I am such a horrible racist for having thought the same thing (tho only because I thought he'd was going to be the token dumb jock character), but he's been a comedy god. If you include cartoons and foreign shows along with the good network stuff, comedy is doing really well right now. Especially compared to how almost all TV drama is :/ |

Yea, I don't think it got any Golden Globe nominations which boggles my mind.

Hanson wrote:I was archiving Glee along with Community a while back when i started realizing Glee actually sucks, save for a couple of truly outstanding episodes. I've since deleted all but 4 episodes of Glee, Community however, I play everyday on shuffle in my media player. oh and whoever called out "The Middle", that;s a pretty good show too. Community, The Middle, 30 Rock and Family Guy are the only sitcoms I watch out of joy right now. I'll wait for the season sets of "How I Met Your Mother" I feel like the mythology kinda piled up since last season and I'd rather wait to get the full gist of it. "It's Always Sunny" is good but I don't find myself compelled to go out of my way to see each episode as they air, also wait for the dvds for that one. Couldn't get into "Modern Family" for some reason I've seen the first few episodes and though i acknowledge that it's funny, I'm not too fond of the traditional, 'everything's fine and a lesson is learned' formula they have. I watch "Glee" like the people who still watch "Heroes" hoping it gets good though i cringe most of the time. about to start watching "The League" thanks to a recommendation from this thread. no love for "Party Down"?

THE LEAGUE rocks. Love COMMUNITY. Thought it got off to a lukewarm start (especially with the expectations that came with having Joel McHale as the star), but
it's firing on all cylinders now. Between FX, NBC and ABC, television comedy is alive and well.

survivorjordancontestant wrote: You're welcome! In the good news/bad news dept, it turns out the show is as densely packed with laffos as it is because there are only 6 episodes. Sort of like a British sitcom. BTW, what kind of humorless scolds rate the shows at TV.com? I went there to confirm the episode count, and the scores ranged from 3.2 to 5.1 out of 10. Community consistently scores in the low 7's. Sounds like the TWOPers make up the bulk of the voters at TV.com. |

SHIVAKAMINI SOMAKANDARKRAM! sorry, had to bust out a shivablast, i've been mumbling shiva blasts all day.
sucks that there are only 6 episodes this season but it makes it easier for me to spread the word about it like I do with Community. Alright I swear that's the last League related thing I'll post (unless provoked) back to Community. It's definitely one of my favorite sitcoms ever (up there with Spaced, Coupling, Arrested Development and 30 Rock). i cannot wait to own the whole season on dvd. I wanna see more of the brittish pysch professor. The Golden Globes is dead to me with the Community snubbage and the Glee cock-sucking. |

I have no idea what The League is, but I've been hearing so many good things about it I'm going to check it out. Auntie Torrent is bringing me the
episodes as we speak.
