Actually no, since it is a 9 person jury if there is a 3-3-2 tie they use the entire bag of rocks to stone the bastard who didn't vote until he/she casts a vote. The only time they had an even number jury was Micronesia and that was a risk they took after James' death when they decided they'd use all the IC's they had planned and run it down to a final 2, instead of doing the final 3 they had planned.

JT4Ever had the best post of the season about Russell where he explains Russell is just playing out his WWE villain fantasy. That is the perfect explanation. I hated Russell for the 1st episode but after that I was on the Russtrain. I don't get how any fan of the show can't appreciate the stellar game he has played while making the season fun to watch. God help us if we had to watch an hour of Brett or Mick each week. The nation would be sleeping. thanks for the great season JT4ever (I know). Hope you get the million.

Yeah, they're both the type of player who thrives on the challenge of conniving their way to the end, feeling in charge of their and everyone's fate, only to be struck by exhaustion and doubt when the hard part is done, and they realize the part where they completely hand their fate over to other people is even harder. That's when their humanity -- assuming they're not a sociopath like Brian -- begins to show. And it's a fascinating, sometimes even moving, thing to watch.

I meant more how up till about F8/7, Boston Rob had the game in the bag. His subsequent attitude ruined any possibility of a win. I see the same with Russell. Happy Go Lucky Russell would totally have the jury but this bitter, pick on people about to be voted out, angry at his own tribe Russell is alienating people beyond a point of repair. I guess he's really feeling the stress of getting this close despite what he says to the camera. -SJ™

His game - since day 1 - has been about him controlling other people. He's done a good job of manipulating people but to try and control the words and actions of 20 people for 39 days...it's gotta be stressful. Juggler who threw too many balls in the air, they are saying and doing things which are NOT what he has dictated and it's jeopardizing his plans.

I won't say he really blew it - too early to tell - but he has been very reckless and egotistical and it could be his demise. Brett, who has been the divine speaker of truth all season, did it again at that TC when he said you have to be humble in the game.

It's definitely an entertaining game, which is why he's as popular as he is this season, but not necessarily a smart game. Yeah, smart games give you a better shot at winning and get you more respect, but there's something to be said for entertaining strategists. Think about it, who's more popular, Boston Rob and Russell with their entertaining-yet-self-destructive gameplay or Vecepia and Danni and their safe-yet-boring games?

I will keep watching then, even though I'm bored right now. The humanity (good and bad) that emerges during a season of survivor is why I got hooked in the first place during the first season. Not all of the casted character bullshit.
