Shambo has said that Survivor is absolutely done after S20.

I'm actually coming around to the viewpoint that it's not so bad for the show to end after S20, purely because the show will not be harmed any more than it is now. The casting and editing has been almost painful compared to the Survivor of old and it's not going to get any better. The ratings will probably get worse too (i.e. ranking of most watched shows in a week). Also, the sadness of Survivor's passing will be tempered with the warm and fuzzy feeling I'll get knowing Spillman is rotting on the unemployment line. |

It's true; I think a show needs to know when to say goodbye. Although Season 20 would be a good time, I think they've got at least 5 more locales they
need to visit, and unfortunately I'm not ready to see the show go until I've had my shot!! And Spillman wouldn't be unemployed--she casts about a
dozen other shows for MBP--even though most of them rarely even make it past the cutting room floor.

Survivor needs at least one season in a cold location before the show is killed off. Yes, we know the reasons they don't want to do it, but if the show is
going to be gone for good, it really should do it just so that we never have to wonder how it could have turned out. (Besides, it would be nice seeing
snow-related challenges).

Why would Survivor end? The numbers are strong and also it will never have to leave. It's not scripted, it's pretty cheap and people still like it.
Survivor is here to stay until the ratings are way to low. Even then another network could grab it.

The shittier and shittier of choices other stations are making with their programming lead me to believe Survivor is not going anywhere fast.
It offers a SOLID 10 million viewers and that it just about double what other shows get nowadays...remember when Home Improvement and Roseanne and Cosby would easily get 25 million viewers a week...those were the days Survivor is here for as long as MB and Jeff want it to be...easy Season 30. Easy 5 more years at least in its current time slot |

If a particular show has a mediocre solid viewing audience ...it's golden - but i still don't think the networks have caught up to this mentality just yet so Survivor is still very much in danger of being cancelled. It would be the perfect time to drive this show under as season 20 is a round off number to end and jeff is getting tired and has publically stated there will be an end sooner than later. |

This season is has been getting ratings between 13.5-13.8 million. I'd say it'll top out a little over 14 million by the time the finale comes around
week after next.
With ratings like that, this show isn't going anywhere anytime soon. We always go through this same BS everyone season about Jeff Probst quitting but then what happens? He reupps if contraction for another 3-4 seasons. |

I want to see Richard back before it ends. If he won the last season it would be extremely epic.

SurferZ wrote: Agreed. The last season should be really epic For the FINAL season, Id love to see Richard, Brian, RobC, Fairplay, ChrisD, Yul, Todd, Kenny, Steven, Russel, Parvarti, Cirie, Kathy, Tina, Jenna, Sandra, Stephanie, Danni, Natalie(Micro), Crystal all on one season. The ultimate Strategic face-off. I like alot of the choices for season 20, but I would'nt say its the best. I actually feel the female cast was really well done. But I feel the male cast is week in the strategy department. (They only really have Rob, Russel, and I guess Colby) |

Come on S21, you need to be good and have an appealing location/twist to cancel out the shitfest that S20 will be.

What time of year do we start to hear murmurs and rumors about the location of the June-July season of Survivor? I guess S21 is unique in that it's the
longest gap between filming there's ever been (since S20), so it's probably anybody's guess.
