Dalton always acts like a condescending douche to the interviewees. Um, I think they understand that it was a mistake to vote out Erik. And did Dalton even ask
Dave anything? He just pointed out his "idiot moves". So I'm glad Dave snapped at him.

Did you know Jenna won her season? Just ask her; she'll tell you.

You saw it first when she refused to go swimming with the others on the first day because they were all young. Laura and Russell were her age, but reveled in playing the oh-pity-me card for the camera. |

I love how Dave complains about John, saying he had no strategy, but John was actually playing very intelligently. He was playing with his own best interests
in mind, which is how you need to play the game.
Dave mocks John for worrying about Monica, but John explained it was all strategy to put a target on the UTR females who by perception of being weak in challenges make them a threat to stick around longer post merge. I also agree with what Dave said about having a 7-5 lead. That would have been the best case scenario for them, unfortunately Russel's med-evac screwed it all up. |

It seems that Dave is really bitter about something. Shambo is mentally ill? Common, that was harsh. True, she was emotional, unorthodox, and didn't really
have her head in the game. There are plenty of people who think they receive divine intervention in their dreams or through some other means (a shout out to
religious people!) but that doesn't make them mentally ill. There are plenty of non-religious people (I'd say probably all of us) who also hold
positive illusions that get them through life - it doesn't make them crazy.
For the record, my opinion about the whole Shambo/Galu thing is that their realities were mutually constructed. I think it's true that Shambo alienated herself from the tribe, talked all kinds of crap about her tribe during confessionals, played an overly emotional game and played for revenge as well. But I also think that she was treated badly. Several points come to mind - the Dave/Shambo conversation where Dave talked down to her like a 3 year old; the Erik/Shambo interaction, where Erik was grossed out by a kiss on the cheek from Shambo and had to go on and fucking on about it with Kelly to earn brownie points with her because he knew Kelly hated her; Kelly's confessionals where she admits that she really cannot stand putting up with Shambo; the interaction between Shambo and Laura that involved Shambo crying and Laura wishing for sun; the snide comments behind the scenes where Yasmin calls Shambo "Shamoo" and all of the girls are laughing at her behind her back; the instances where John, Dave and Erik all reiterate that Shambo is human and deserves to be treated as such (implying that some people are treating her badly); Shambo being sent without reward to the Foa tribe for the second time and it was implied that Russell S wanted to make certain vocal people were happy with that move; and interviews where both John and Erik state that Shambo was treated badly. That's a lot of evidence, so my conclusion is that Shambo was indeed treated badly. But what comes first? Was she treated badly first, or did she alienate herself first? Even if the chicken came before the rotten egg, did it justify the treatment she got from her tribe? Either way, they were stupid in their actions toward her. I also agree that Shambo was stupid stupid stupid in this game.

River50 wrote: He said his social skills/social game would probably be weakest part of his game and his interviews show why he thought that. Regarding mental illness - Dave has knowledge of medical things the average lay person does not. The things we have seen and heard from Shambo ARE consistent with mental illness. The belief that one has special powers, hearing voices, etc. is consistent with that diagnosis. She is also extremely paranoid and shown signs of delusional beliefs. That being said, she is in an extremely stressful situation which can result in exaggerated behavior and unless he specifically has medical training it's a little irresponsible to throw terms like that around. However, as I've posted elsewhere, if reports that she was asked to be on a future season are true I'm surprised; personally I wouldn't want to be out in the wilds and try to sleep knowing she has access to a machete. |

When did she express hearing voices? They are ALL paranoid, that comes with the territory. What are these delusional beliefs that you speak of? I personally don't think she's mentally ill. Indeed, she's a horrible player at survivor, and a bit unorthodox, constantly bucking the norm, but that doesn't make her crazy. |
